I firmly believe that the next week will probably decide the division.
I don't know what the hell the NFL is thinking by moving our game to Sunday night, then sending us off to Kansas City on Thanksgiving for yet another night game. We are going to have to come in on Monday next week for meetings, then travel on Wednesday, unless they travel in the early afternoon on thursday. I would do that...it's just a skip across Kansas that is quite short.
All I know is we could easily come out 9-2 or 7-4. We get a quasi-break with a couple of Sandy Eggo's DL out including Merriman, but that team DOES have talent. Obviously, we have struggled in Kansas City late in the year...why does it seem like we ALWAYS travel to KC late in the year? This year, it's not so late but an incredibly short week.
If they want to run thursday games, why didn't the NFL arrange the bye week around them? You could play Monday night, then take your bye and come out the next thursday, then have the weekend off again. You still get 2 games in 3 weeks.

This next week is very tough for us, we need this game sunday.

Have to split at least. It sucks but they can't use it as an excuse. I fully expect Denver to win Sunday and lose Thursday night. back to back division games in less than a week and playing at arrowhead. Man if we lose the division we have an excuse like SD did last year with their "tough" schedule.

What pisses me off mostly is traveling on a short week after playing what is likely to be a rather physical game. And when do we get the late season game against KC? It simply doesn't happen.
Meanwhile, KC gets an early game AT HOME on Sunday, then gets to basically go home Sunday night and have what amounts to a much closer full week of rest. This is completely predjudicial scheduling in KC's favor. They basically get three more days than we do, not to mention they get Oakland instead of Sandy Eggo.
So they don't travel whatsoever and get a clown while we get the divisional megagame of the week then travel to a better rested KC team. Fantastic.
I just hope for a split as well.

We won the division last year at 13-3. The NFL and media wanted the Chargers and/or Chefs as playoff representitives from the AFC West, so they made this schedule to tilt things in their favor this year. NOT! No conspiracy here, just stupid scheduling IMO

This is just the down side of that flex scheduling NBC got put in. It sucks but what can you do. I just wonder what will be boobs excuse if Denver wins Sunday and then turns around and does it again Thursday.

Realistically though, is four days enough time to recover for the players after the pounding they can take in a hard hitting smash mouth game. Especially at the skilled positions. I know that the line pounds on each other all game, but the backs and recivers take some big shots occasionally. I think the two games in three weeks is a more sane scenario.

Denver had this problem last year. They had to go to Dallas on a quick turn and pulled one out of the ther hoohaws in OT. You never know what could happen.

My point is that KC should of had to travel this Sunday then they get to sit and wait.
That would be more fair. They even get an early game and will be home for dinner and quality time with their whatever.
We play till 11 pm in a full blown megagame, then get to drive home exausted.
Shanahan has to call an afternoon meeting Monday. He couldn't give them the KC gameplan with the divisional megagame looming right now. I'm no coach, but I would hand out the game plan, (you know Shanahan has been working like some maniac this week), for a couple hours and tell them to rest.
Then you bring them back for a single practice on tuesday. Run thru the plan again, then it's off to KC.
I guarantee we won't don pads this next week.
We will probably have one, and then a walk thru and that's it. This team is beat up.
This is the time of the week I'm allready wringing my hands. It's not just a game...it's WAR DAMMIT. It's just a game honestly. I will take a win by a mil levy.

Don't cry about the schedule like they do on the Planet. We beat SD Sunday normal week (like always) Go to kc on Turkey day or Possum day in kc and ruin their possum party then back to Denver for some champagne R & R and get ready for the chickenhawks. 7 is not scared by the also rans.

How bout AZ, CINNCY and SF to close the season. Those games count too so a loss isn't the final chapter. Nothings over til we say it is !! WOOOO
Think they aren't crying about our final 3 games in SD and KC ??

Actually, Denver has to play late on Sunday, then travel to KC, who is going to be resting at home.
Fine, we lose one evening, and two days. KC doesn't have to move an inch and plays an early game at what is 12:00 Denver time.
Denver players will get home at midnight Sunday evening. Then, they will have to get the gameplan monday because there isn't that much time. Just an afternoon meeting I imagine.
Then I imagine they have one practice, then a walk thru on wednesday and travel, doing a walk around either in KC or at Dove Valley.
It's a bad schedule, period.

Difficult? Who cares? Championship teams overcome stuff like this. Didnt the Broncos players fight through a snow storm to get to their plane for Buffalo? If this team is hungry enough they will get it done.

I didn't make a single excuse whatsoever. Your an acusational dimwit that has not a clue but feels a need for racial hatred yourself.
What we have here is someone who wants to bring an agenda to the table that is totally unrelated to anything regarding the thread.
I didn't make any excuses at all, I said the scheduling was poor. I never made any predjudiced, racist or drunken comments.
Your a moron.

That isn't next week now is it?
Those are two out of three out of conference games. Next week we have two and a short road week against a team that wont travel this week at all.

The way I see it we HAVE to beat SD on Sunday. Beating the Chefs on Thursday would be an unexpected bonus. I can live with a split as long as the win is vs. SD.

We better get used to it. Despite the fact that almost every so-called expert picks against the Bronco's, it is always a "Big game" for whoever is playing us. It was a "Big Game" for Baltimore, New England, Indianapolis, and it is a big game for the Chargers. When this many media darlings play us and lose, even if we aren't the best team in football according to the morons on NBC, assume that many of our games are going to get kicked up to Prime time. They aren't doing it to give us a harder schedule, and they aren't doing it because they want to see Denver footballl. They are doing it because they want to find out which fake horse they can try to ride to the Superbowl this year. Doesn't really matter though, couple of hours won't change the outcome of that game, or any other. Besides our already phenomenal record only gets better in nationally televised games. It's like we play to the cameras to a certain extent.

Its nice to see you're already making excuses for thanksgiving.
The Chiefs also have a short week. You're lucky that you're catching the Charges with some defensive injuries and suspensions and the Chiefs with a beaten up Offensive Line and TG hurt.....as well as the defensive injuries.
Hopefully, Sandy Eggo and Dungver beat the piss out of each other in a game that goes to OT, and then Denver loses.
I enjoy that Denver fans don't think the Media likes them...and the NFL is out to get them. haha. Might as well chop block the schedule maker too.

Wrong. They don't travel this week or on Thankgiving.
Enjoy al you want. KC plays an early game at home stays at home, Denver plays a night game...then travels.
Don't be a complete idiot.
Denver plays the co-division leader, KC plays Oakland at home.
What part of this escapes you?

As much as I hate to agree with you, you're 100% on target and I was going to say the same exact thing. They both play on Sunday and have to turn around and play on Thursday, no advantage either way. The Chiefs are playing a pretty physical Faid team this week and like with us, you never know what's going to happen when those two get together. Especially considering you have TG hurt, TrINT "I'm Batman" Green returning from concussion, and the Raiders are going to put 9 men in the box to stop LJ. Hell, the Cheffies may come out of this strech 5-6!

I think the Chiefs do have an advantage in that they won't have to travel on wednesday, but the flight from Denver to KC is an easy one, and the time difference really isn't an issue on a night game.
Facing LT and Turner is going to beat on your front 7 this week and it'll be tough to physically recover from a physical game in 4 days....for both teams. Both of this weeks games should be physical....KC and Oakland hate each other as much as the donks.
Playing at Arrowhead, while your running game is struggling on a short week, doesn't give the Chiefs any excuses. Its a must win game sunday vs teh raytards and also at home vs the Donks. A loss in either of those games and the Chiefs have no chance.

Chop blocking the media is better than clipping an entire punt coverage team on the way to a bs victory.
