Rocker JON BON JOVI has his heart set on owning a team in America's National Football League (NFL) - and he already has his eye on the Oakland Raiders. The HAVE A NICE DAY star is a co-owner of the Philadelphia Soul team which competes in the less prestigious Arena Football League (AFL), but he would love to upgrade to the Californian team. He says, "I want to buy the Raiders. To own an NFL team: that's the dream."

Hilarious!

Al Davis has already tried to sell them on e-bay, but didn't get any bids above the reserve ($100) amount!

LOL maybe if he shot greasy AL and robbed 100 banks along the way, it might put him halfway there.

Also...

Bon Jovi said that he was half way there, but current owner Al Davis said Bon Jovi "Was living on prayer." Davis has said that he's put a bounty out on Bon Jovi and that he was wanted: Dead or Alive

Would this put the Raiders at the Cross Road?
Would he move them to New Jersey?
If the Raiders played a rain game, would they be Slippery When Wet?
Could the Raiders go the Distance?
Would they Crush their opponents?
Would their fans Have A Nice Day?
Would this give the Raiders a Bounce?
Will they Keep The Faith, These Days?
Would the Raiders MNF games be One Wild Night?
Hey, 100,000,000 Bon Jovi Fans Can't Be Wrong.

Never Say Goodbye to that Dream, Jon. You might be just Livin' On A Prayer for now, but who knows? Maybe Al someday takes some Bad Medicine, or ends up with a Social Disease? If you Stick To Your Guns, Keep The Faith, and gather up enough Blood Money, you might be able to Save The World from that crazy old man. You might end up giving Raiders fans Another Reason To Believe.. And if it doesn't work out in Oakland, Who Says You Can't Go Home?

Now excuse me while I shoot myself in the face and go out in a Blaze of Glory.

If he buys them I hope he hires some of the resident morons on the Mane to be his coaches. They would never win again.

Does this mean they won't blast out Angus Young riffs at Oakland's stadium anymore.

Even on TV, you can hear them play at least 6-7 AC/DC songs during breaks in action.

I actually think Bon Jovi would do a good job.

Does anyone remember how much face time he got in January of 1987, as Bob Jovi were at their peak, and their home state Giants were playing us in the Super Bowl. They were interviewed ad nauseum, and were at the game, and shown often. Ugh.

Whoah! Whoah! Whoah!

You've got the wrong idea about Bon Jovi's target demographic. Heavy Metal Skanks?

Bon Jovi is a comrade in arms with John Elway when it comes to owning Arena Football teams.

Need I say more?

You clearly have never been to a Bon Jovi concert.

My wife is a huge fan, so about three years ago I bought us tickets to it. Let me tell you something... If you go to a Bon Jovi concert with your wife, you better go with blinders on, because you're going to see more hot chicks in one place than you've ever seen in your life... Every last one of them done up to the nines.

You've got the wrong idea about Bon Jovi's target demographic, to be sure.

Bon Jovi is just as much of a "heavy metal" band as Poison...ROFL!

Bon Jovi is a good guy. My friend met him when his team came into Maggiano's after a Crush game. He was real cool about everything and tipped like a monster. I think he chose the Raiders because it's the cheapest team available, it's in California, and it would be the easiest team to improve or at least make it look like you improved.

I guess the only problem with his plan is they're not for sale.

last time i saw Bon Jovi was on the Slippery Tour--around the time they were actually relevant. all the lovely ladies that were there that night are now dealing black jack at Camel Rock Casino with half smoked cigs hanging from their mouths. sad but true.

Times have changed, my friend... Not that you're ever going to get to a Bon Jovi concert. But if my wife asked me to take her again, I'd consider it. He put on a decent enough show, to boot.

IDK, Bon Jovi probably has somewhere in the neighborhood of 300million dollars. He and a groups of investors could easily come up with enough money to buy the Raiders if Al Davis were to ever sell.

Ok i can see it now before every game they play dead or alive and i have already came up with the oakland jovis or the bonfire raiders.

Being a product of the '80s I like Bon Jovi, but too me it sounds like a waste of $16.33. If that's what he wants to spend his lunch money on then so be it. Who are we to judge?

I'm not a Bon Jovi fan, but I think he's too nice to buy a crap team like the Fade.

First on the list, demolish the Black Hole to get rid of the franchise killing thugs. This team will never be marketable as long as the average joe football fan is in fear of being attacked in the stadium parking lot by some bi-polar wacko dressed in dead things, spikes and makeup.

Second, remodel weird Al's skybox to get rid of the piss and band-aids smell...

His mullet and clothing sense would fit in perfectly. Also, he and the Faid are both a nostalgia act.

Bon Jovi is cool. He is patriotic, loves football, and you can understand what he is singing unlike most new wannabe tough guy musicians.

Don't you think "Wanted: Dead or Alive" would freak out his fanbase just a little bit?
