"The idea was for them to be three-dimensional teaching tools for kids," La Roe said. "I believe as a churchgoing person, anyone can benefit from hearing the words of the Bible."

This was really funny to me... The Jesus doll apparently spouts useful 'truths' like "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again". I can't IMAGINE how a Jew or a Muslim wouldn't benefit from that. It's not like the doll teaches that their religion is a sham and that kids are disqualified from 'the kingdom of god' unless he follows the Christian philosophy.

Either the manufacturer is a complete idiot, or a complete zealot. Not real positive for him any way you slice it.

I agree with you enjolras. The fact that they were refused is no real surprise. Heck, I am a Christian and I wouldn't even want one of those dolls.

just the kind of illogical and contradictory thinking that characterizes this country nowadays--outlawing Jesus dolls on the celebration of Jesus' birthday. talking Jesus dolls scare parents more than talking Chucky dolls in this day and age. If I recall, Toys For Tots' Mission Statement claims that the toys they distribute are for Christmas, specifically, to needy children.

Can i get the full action set? You know, roman soldiers, spears, crosses, whips?

Man, I loved that toy...

Awesome... A "marketing gimic" in the shape of a toy... I guess the man-whore doll that says "I'll give you meth and a rub down for $200" was a little too obvious Ha!

what is it with you people ? a company says no thanks to a doll , and you guys hike your skirt up claiming the toy is outlawed ?

Hell yeah, Jesus was a carpenter, back in the days before they had power
tools. You get quite a work-out swinging a hammer and dragging a saw
all day long. Only problem with it, is for a middle easterner, his skin looks
way too light in color.
