View Full Version : Jake's first pick dropped

Someone else tell me they saw what I saw.

In the replays of the pick Jake threw that set up the Fader's TD you could see the ball hit the ground as Asomougha fell and before he got up and ran with it. I rewound and played it back 3 or 4 times and he clearly dropped the ball. I wondered if maybe they would challenge but it never came.

Anyone else notice this?

One could argue that it didn't matter as the late pick that was reversed could have been called an INT so it all came out in the wash but that first pick set up the Oaktown TD and set a tone for the first half.

I didn't. Maybe someone else did. My bad if they did.

Must of been someone else. Even if it was dropped it is a wash as Oakland got jobbed on the last Int that Jake threw. We got the win so its all irrelevant now.

It is all moot and the intent of my post isn't to bitch about calls or non-calls.

I did acknowledge what you are saying in my original post:

More a theoretical argument I guess. "what if that call goes the other way" much like the "what if Kircus had caught that 3rd down pass on the first possession" argument. Could these have changed the complexion of the game and instead of sitting here expecting to get our asses handed to us by the Chargers maybe the faithful are exulting in a 20-3 win or something.

"What if" makes the other 6 days of the week a little more interesting I guess...More interesting than work anyway.;D

irrelevant other than to provide fuel for the crazies who want to throw a rook in the fire at 7-2

It didn't look dropped on Primetime tonight. I think if it was pretty obvious from the replays Shanahan would've challenged it, since it was the first half and timeouts weren't that important. Is there a youtube or link to the video?
