Pretty underrated offseason signing this guy was. He's tied with Dumervil for the team lead with 6 sacks and he forced a big fumble in crunch time today.

His signing wasn't met with much fanfare, but he's been a pretty nice bang for your buck guy.

He's played exceptionally well. He's good against the rush too. Warren has also really come on strong since the second half of the Steelers game.

Still need a left defensive end worth a damn, actually a whole left side. Lang's old, but he should be fine for a few more years.

Tim Crowder, first round.

Your choice of LDT in the second or third.

Kthnx.

Yes. And there were several poeple here abouts b*tching about the play of Engleburger, and he showed up a bit today. Maybe the Dline is playing better than the they had in the past. I still would like to see a real kicka$$ Dlineman in the future.....

I'll take some crow on JE. I have been ripping him of late and he played well today. Come april DL, DL, DL, then more DL.

Lang was a great signing. He's only two sacks away from matching his career high. He's also leading all free agent defensive linemen in sacks this season.

Engleberger probably had his best game as a Bronco today.

Lang is one of those nice suprises. Speed always is nice to have on the ends. He provides that and then some. I swear for a good part of the day Elvise and Kenard kept meeting eachother at Walters. If this was last week Walters would have been sacked a ton. Coaches finally got him to get rid of the ball in the face of a rush.

I wouldn't say he's getting consistent pressure...but he's pretty clutch. He took points off the board in Pitt last week and sealed the game for us (twice!)...

Lang is excellent bang for the buck. I just wish he was a little bit younger.

What a bargain though at his salary.

Is it me or do all Arizona State QB's suck the big balls.

I predicted that Lang would have 8-12 sacks this year to help boost the pass rush.

Lang has always been a solid player and is proving that once again this season. He's never been a superstar and never will be one, but anytime you can get a solid DE for cheap on the open market it's a good thing.

At least lately they are sucking. But Walters has to be the worst. The dude was scared after getting thrown to the ground early in the second half. The minute Denver started blitzing Walters was done as proven by the fumbles at the end.

Walter looks like Bledsoe 2.0...in a bad way.

It beats the living hell out of giving up a 1st rounder for the right to give John Abraham $18 million up front. At the very least, Lang will guarantee you an honest day's work.

SO ANYWAY, KENARD LANG IS REALLY GOOD.

Count me as a guy who poo-poo'd the Lang signing. This is one of those cases where you just love to be wrong. He's really been a nice addition. Too bad we don't have a healthy Brown to rotate with him, as I think he'd be better used in that role. But, we saw him make a game-sealing play today. When was the last time we saw that from a DE?

I still want to see us land some top-line talent for the line, but Lang was clearly a great value.

Excellent observation. He certainly makes the losses of Trevor and Courtney easier to absorb. I agree w/ Popps, I wasn't too excited when he signed, but mostly because were were overloaded at DE then. That's no longer the case now.

And where's all the John Engleberger haters? HE RECOVERED A FUMBLE! So you can all stop saying he's "never done anything." ;D

Thank goodness we didn't handcuff ourselves with Andre Carter and his $15million signing bonus or John Abraham.

Which Cleveland DL are free agents this offseason?

Honestly, I saw it as roster filler from a rotational player. My impression was that he was percieved as a solid roto player. He's proved to be a fine pickup...I didn't know much about him other than he wasn't a complete turd.

Let's not go cartwheels because he broke thru the Oakland line. That's like breaking thru the daisy chain in a cakewalk or musical chairs.

At several points yesterday the Defense line was Lang, Gordan, Peterson and Elvis. Scary isn't

STFU! It's not scary. It's all Coyer's fault. He never adjusts!

I was disappointed in the Lang signing, not because I thought he could not play, but because I thought the Broncs could do better. I still yearn for a dominate DL, but the rotation of average guys is working so far.

Was that Gordan or Burton? I missed the game.

I love the pick up. He reminds me... acucally I'm not quite sure who he reminds me of. (Better I say that than fart some bs out my ass).

On the 850 koa pregame show he gave a hilarious quote about how when he played the Raiders during his first season with the redskins, some little kid screamed "f uck you lang!" He looked up and then the kid's dad yelled, "Yeah, F uck you!" Lang then said to Dave Logan. Daaaaamn man, thats a tough place to play.

Edit: he oblvious didnt say **** on the radio, i forget what it was exactly. But you get the point, Raiders fans are trash.

Well, the joke was that some fairly knowledgeable fans here were screaming at the FO for not overpaying for those guys and because of Trevor's departure. I would not be surprised if Lang does not have more sacks than the overpaid lineman above combined, and if Lang and Elvis don't combine for more than all three of the linemen "mourned" in the off-season.

Good play by lang but lets not get ahead of ourselves here.

Seattle nearly broke the single game sack record against Oakland last week on MNF. I do think that our ends are much improved over previous years though. I would take the current group of nobodies over last years nobodies.

- I absolutely hate Kenard Lang. I think he celebrates successfully brushing his teeth in the morning. You'd think the guy has never made an NFL tackle let alone gotten a sack in his career the way he dances and taunts the other team.

Wow. Doesn't this guy post as mattbeymvp over here? Wow.
