the two roster spots freed up (one from Brandon's injury) and the other from Devoes departure, atleast one of those was thought to be Hixon's spot. Yea, we may not see Hixon till next season.

I remember Wabbit saying something about he won't be 100% until a few weeks til the end of the year.

Like both moves though. Nash looked gangbusters in pre-season and Burton weighs 500 lbs or something.

So, what's the word on Hixon. I never heard a thing about the kid until Denver drafted him. Anyone have a scouting report? or current eval?

Looks like a component of the old AEGIS air defense system.

Nash coming up is very interesting to me. He must, I mean, MUST, play well on special teams or something. I can't remember the Broncos ever having 4 running backs on the 53. Unless Cobbs has gotten fat again or something.

*edit, I meant half backs. But 6 total running backs. Very interesting.

I like Burton coming up....:strong:
A run stuffer to plug up the line....take some heat off the LBs.
Since the Raiders can't pass they'll try to run...good idea to make em run AROUND a wide body...

Nash makes me think Tatum isn't healing that well....or that someone else got dinged and hasn't been revealed yet. Maybe Tater is sitting this one out too....to heal up, and Shanny wants Nash to back up Mike Bell, since he gets winded so fast. ^5

Which means he should dominate Oakland's first team.

I don't know, I think this is just the team putting another RB with promise in the pipeline.

The updated Denver Post article hints towards the possibility of Mike Bell being in-active tomorrow...with Nash taking his spot.

Nash comes up, huh? Hmmm......

Hmmmm.... is right.

I've been huge on this guy since the pre-season. Absolutely thrilled that he's going to have a chance to get some carries, potentially.

I said in pre-season that I think he MAY be the most complete back on the roster. He only had a small number of carries in the pre-season, but in those carries... I saw than I saw in all of Mike Bell's runs, combined. Nothing against Bell, he's a good kid and a good story. But, I think Nash has prime-time skills. He seemed to see holes very well, bounced outside when nothing was there, and carried tacklers before going down.

The problem with him is that he comes with a history. He was a dud at Mizzou, despite showing flashes of being a real star. Depends who you ask. Some say the staff used him wrong in college, some say he had attitude problems.

But, if he has his head on straight... I'm telling you, the kid has a complete game.

Can't wait to see if he gets some carries.

BIO: Led the team in rushing after starting eight games last season, posting 164/792/7 on the ground, while adding 25/176/1 as a pass catcher. Sophomore totals included 89/462/5 carrying the ball.

POSITIVES: Quick-footed ballcarrier with adequate size for the inside. Sees the field, waits for blocks to develop and possesses a burst through the hole. Explosive, displays speed running in the open field with the ability to take it outside of tackle. Works runs, falls forward when tackled, and has the ability to pick up yardage off initial contact. Solid pass catcher out of the backfield. Employs effective blocking technique.

NEGATIVES: Not a decisive runner nor an instinctive football player. Misses blocking assignments and does not pick up blitzes. Cannot quickly cut back against the grain and loses balance when he must immediately change direction. Left the team after disagreements with the coaching staff in late November. Characterized as irresponsible.

ANALYSIS: Displaying flashes of big-time ability, Nash possesses solid physical skills and a good upside for the next level. That being the case, he needs more repetition and must mature as an individual to have any shot of sticking on an NFL roster.

PROJECTION: Undrafted Free Agent

Seems pretty accurate, though... he had at least two cutbacks in the pre-season that were very impressive. Given, it was against 2nd stringers... but he still showed a real nice ability to make something out of nothing, the exact quality that's so badly missing with the two guys we have.

Well Nash has playing experience from Tennessee, but he just fell out of favor w/Fisher and he weight. Anybody know if he's in better shape?

Nash being promoted either means Tatum is hurt worse than revealed or that the coaches are not happy with the running backs in total. Does this mean a first round choice next year will be a RB?

Why would Nash who has 0 carries this year be replacing Mike Bell? Is Bell hurt now also?

Ouch!...I knew we had a big list but didn't realize M Bell was out...this game might be closer than we think wih so many injuries. Shell has the Fade starting to play better too.
