Just heard a blurb on the radio that Gallery was hurt in practice yesterday and may not be ready to play Sunday.
Who is his backup and how bad can he be to be behind Gallery?

I'm stealing this line from somebody else on this board, but his neck has been severely strained having to twist it to see guys blowing by him en route to his QBs.

I heard he may have been stabbed after practice. There was a big black limo with a crucifix on it seen leaving the parking lot. Authorities are looking for this man:

I think being a human turnstile creates dizziness which creates nausea.
Seriously, I'm surprised more of these guys aren't pulling the injury card.

Makes you wonder about the guy who's playing so bad he's his backup. Unless Gallery is the worst, but that he was the second overall means that team is trying to keep him on the field in some weird way of getting value out of him?

They're paying him way too much money to bench him.

No kidding, this is probably a bad thing for us, because it's likely that whoever is backing him up will outperform him on the field. It's hard not to.
I wonder what's wrong with that guy. Scouts usually don't miss on tackles picked that high.

Not so sure about that. The Fade's backup RT looked intent on trying to set an NFL record for false starts in a game the last time these two teams played.

Gallery isn't the only player with talent to absolutely fall on his face in Oakland recently. Gallery is a very square peg being stuffed into a Black Hole. He was dominant at Iowa...he used part of his signing bonus to pay off the family farm in Iowa for his parents. He has a spotless incident record.
He's not unique. Think about it. It's a revolving door at Head Coach. Revolving door at QB. Porter could give a rat's ass and wants out of the asylum. Moss wants out as well. Shell had to pause three times at his press conference to fight back tears he was so embarrased about that line.
How that line could be so bad with Shell and Jackie Slater coaching them is astounding.

Had you been here when the Fade drafted him, it was all doom and gloom around here for the rest of the AFC West as not a SINGLE PERSON thought it was a bad pick up. NOT ONE.
Except me, but thats only because I have no clue about linemen coming out of college. That, to me, is the hardest thing to gauge is how good O-linemen are due to the fact that 90% of their competition is never seeing the NFL level.

Yep, thats true, I remember that. They got alot of props all around for going Gallery and then Grove with their first two picks. The draft is always, at best, an inexact science.

Not really. Lots of big fat bums going in the top five.
Leonard Davis http://media.scout.com/Media/Image/37/371934.jpg and Mike Williams http://images.nfl.com/photos/features/img9262056.jpg are prime examples.
What's rare is finding a truly dominant left tackle who lasts past the 12th pick of the first round. That's one reason you see people keep reaching.

No way is the guy going to screw the start of his career just to get out of there. Who would even want him if that was true? The only athlete I've ever even heard of doing such a thing was that hateful prick Gary Sheffield to get out of Milwaukee.

Gallery's struggled but he's also had some injuries this year and they've played him at 3 different positions since he got to Jokeland. Who knows how good any of those players are playing in that nut house anyway? I'd take a flyer on the guy if they let him go. He was dominant in college and has all the tools. That said...I hope Elvis lights him up a like a Christmas tree on Sunday.

Gallery can be another Zimmerman.
Guy like this want to play for a winner.
I don't think playing yourself into a hole, but I know damn well where he wants to play.
I don't like him ditching, but damn...what else do you do?
It's so obvious he wants out.
The guy is custom made for the Broncos....

Gallery sucks. He's a bust. Whether it's because he's doing it to get out of town (which it isn't) or it's because he just sucks (he does) doesn't matter. His arms are too low and he will fail as a lineman. I don't care what he did in college. He's a bust and anyone who thinks he's just misunderstood is stupid.

Zim was an ex d-lineman turned o-line. Really just one tough sum bitch who did't talk much. Great foot movement. Nasty. Gallery has exhibited none of the above. ( except the talking, maybe)

75 is the last olineman in the league I would want starting on my team. He is absolutely the biggest bust OL I have seen and just leans on people, false starts or gets blown past. Mike Williams isn't a whole lot better. Gallery I think is missing a mean streak, just doesn't look real aggressive.

He may be a turnstile, but he isn't injury-free. Been playing hurt all season. Started with a tear in his calf muscle, then busted up his shoulder, now has a groin pull on top of that. His only positive this season is that he will play through injury until the coaches yank him off the field. Is an injured Gallery better than a false-starting backup? It don't matter.... we've already locked down the prize for the worst O-line in the league.
