I wonder if we can hire a California High School team to beat the Raiders for us so we can rest up?

I don't know, might not be fair...point spread would still be double digets. but as long as we get them cups they should be fine

The team website lists them differently. It would appear that Shanahan has taken a page from the Bill Belichick school of injury reporting:
S Sam Brandon Knee O
RB Tatum Bell Toe Q
DE Patrick Chukwurah Hamstring Q
DE Ebenezer Ekuban Thigh Q
S Nick Ferguson Concussion Q
LB Ian Gold Hamstring Q
FB Kyle Johnson Ankle Q
S John Lynch Concussion Q
WR Rod Smith Shoulder Q
CB Darrent Williams Shoulder Q
LB Al Wilson Concussion Q
RB Cedric Cobbs Ankle P
DT Gerard Warren Toe P
Everyone is "questionable" until the day before the game.:wiggle:

This is pretty much as close to a bye week as it gets.
The only problem the Raiders present is on defense... Our offense will only be missing Rod and Tatum. We should be fine as long as Jake keeps playing like he has been. Walker will step up, maybe Marshall will finally break out.
I'm not worried about them scoring much on us as long as Champ is on the field to cover Moss.
Rest everyone that needs the rest.

I simply don't see anyone pissed off other than Sapp. Shell was literally in tears...he had to pause...
It remains to be seen if they come out angry or just roll over. We have alot of injuries that need rest. Hopefully we can salt the game early but we have a bad habit of playing down to the competition.

Yeah that's what worries me, but hopefully Curome Cox will be able to shut them down too.

Didn't see anyone post this, although it is mentioned in the injury report, but Tatum Bell has, not one, but two turf toes...plural, so the challenge isn't just whether or not he can play with pain, but could he even keep his balance.
For whatever it's worth, Shanahan nor Coyer seemed all that overly concerned about the injuries even though, according to Shanahan, they are the most from one side of the ball he had ever reported.
I think both Shanahan & Coyer have wanted to see what Nate Webster & Hamza Abdullah would look like in reagular season play since the beginning of the season.
Also, according to Shanahan, none of the injuries is too serious (besides Brandon of course), so, assuming the Broncos can dispose of the Raiders with the group they have now, almost everyone should be back for the crucial match-ups with San Diego & Kansas City.

Radio this morning has been reporting that EE, Preditor and Ian may not play, but everyone else likely will. DWill will play with a harness like Champ did last year.

Good news, I'm thinking the same way as they are. I've been curious to see some of these younger guys in real games, and if we had to have a rash of injuries, I couldn't think of a safer week to sit people.
Tatums injury does bother me though. Not because I don't think they can make up his production, but because he seems to get nicked and miss at least some time every year.

For what it's worth, all of Tatum's injuries have been fairly serious injuries, so I don't really think it's him being a pu$$y.

I think that Gold is actually or biggest loss. Although i do have faith in Webster. We really need him back before the Chorfs and Dolts. And it would be horrible if he kept tweaking it all year.

It could be bad luck, but I sure would feel better if we didn't have to assume that we will miss him for a couple games a season.

Nah, it's the Raiders. No matter what happens Shanny and his boys will find a way to get up for the Fade.
Besides, it'll take a few years, but we have to pass for them all time record, so every game counts!

Tatum was given the chance to be our every down back. He was given a chance to be our workhorse back. He was yelling for the chance. Just give me a chance, he said. Well we did, and this is how he responded.
Being a workhorse back is not only about making all the caries throught the whole game, it is also about making all the caries throughout the whole SEASON. It isn't only about how you finish GAMES, its also about how you finish SEASONS.
Tatum Bell has shown exactly how he does that so far this season.
