The #2 ranking is great but does in matter in the big scheme of things?
Power Rankings in football are like polls for politicans, if they are in your favor they're great, if not they don't mean anything.
I go with the latter, these polls are good for talking points but it reality you can't really measure teams in the NFL this way. The Power Ranking after the Super Bowl is what matters.
I for one think the Colts should lose to Buffalo this week. If they do like they did last year and wait until it's week 13, 14 or 15 for their first loss they lose momentum going into the playoffs. They need a loss now to see what it feels like. I have to admit if we don't make it to the Super Bowl this season Im rooting for the Colts. Manning is just an amazing QB who doesn't deserve the same fate as Marino.
What are your guys thoughts an the subject?

My thoughts on Manning ever getting a ring are that I'd rather Brady have 10.

I know Manning comes accross as a Boy Scout but I admire his game. Brady won't get another ring the trades they made this year hurt. They'll win their division and make the playoffs but I don't see them getting through the second round.
Manning like him or not deserves at least one ring.

I hope Manning never even makes it to a superbowl, let alone win one.

Thanks custom made. The number of Broncos clothes I have in my closet outnumber all the rest of my clothes 10 to 1. On Saturdays of course it's time to don the Wyoming Cowboys gear.

Manning doesnt come across as a Boy Scout. He comes across as a whiny self absorbed shill that would sell feminine hygeine products if someone would pay him to do it. He plays a great nice game, but I am no fan of his.

I disagree with a couple of points here.
Brady and company are still a very potent team, more so this year I believe than the year they won their first superbowl. Their defense still gets pressure, and while their secondary is banged up and not as good as it was then, their front seven are just as good if not better which will make up for a weaker secondary. Their running game is much stronger now than it has ever been with a two back monstrous set in Maroney and Dillon. Brady is still a clutch QB (who, like any QB, can have a bad game from time to time, but generally not in the playoffs). The Patriots have just as good a shot at winning it all as anyone in the AFC does IMO.
Second, I hope Manning, his brother and his father all sell their souls to Satan and Satan ass rapes the whole family by renegging on his word and not getting any of them a ring. **** the Mannings, **** their commercials, and **** their hype. May the Colts, Manning, his Brother Eli, the Giants, the whole friggin family suffer horrendously for all eternity. How any Bronco fan can want THOSE pricks to succeed is, well a testiment to their lack of loyalty. Thats like Cleveland fans wanting to see Elway get a ring, seriously.
Third, Denver is winning the Superbowl. Belief in anything less equates to being a faithless whore. Lots of those running around, so if you fit the bill you wont be alone.

I liked your talking points about Pats, while I don't agree with everything you said there is some measure of truth in it. I don't think their front 7 is as good as you give them credit for. People have ran the ball on them we did and bet others will. Their DB's are suspect and teams have put up TD's and yards on them too. Their running game is better but I think a good rushing D like ours can shut down Dillion and Maroney. The biggest problem they have is a WR, I know Brady has spread the ball around well so far but he really doesn't have that go to guy like he has had in the past. Again against a better secondary I don't think these WR's cut the mustard.
Where you lost me was on the Manning rant. I first and foremost am a Broncos fan, if our team doesn't get there I'd root for Manning. It doesn't make me disloyal or a whore for doing so. I think it's no different than all the Elway Haters finally rooting for him to win a Super Bowl. They may not have liked him but there was a measure of respect for Elway that went beyond who he played for or who his Dad was.
Brady has made commericals, McNabb and even Elway has made a few nationally televised commericals. I can't hammer Manning for that. Hec, I would have loved to have seen Jake do a shaving cream or razor commerical last year since he looked like such a bum with a beard.
I guess all the hate the Mannings endure is something they have to live with just like Elway did for years and years in Denver.
