Anyone going to buy the new Xbox 360 game Gears of War? The reviews have been amazing, and HALO 2 finally has some competition for greatest game to date. It sounds like a combination of HALO 2 and Rainbow Six stealth tactics.

yeah i reserved my copy last week....this game looks unbelievable....

The only negative part of it I read has been the storyline leaves way too many questions unanswered and is not really that deep.

But the gameplay itself, the review said, more than makes up for it. They just missed the boat on surpassing Halo's franchise as best ever by shorting the storyline.

Broke down and got it today. Sweet freaking game! the graphics are outstanding and I love the fact that you have to take cover or you die. Anyone else get this game?

The salesman at Gameworks told me that the HD-DVD drive is well worth the money. They were sold out so I couldn't buy one but he kept going on about how much he loved it.

I picked up my copy of GOW today but haven't played it yet. Looking forward to it though.

got it and beat it in two days (on easy of course, had to unlock the hard). Its the best game I have EVER seen/played. there should be no hesitation in buying this game. Its this generations halo. :thumbsup:

GoW is the real deal. Online Co-op and multiplayer are outstanding as well as the single player. The HD-DVD drive also rocks! If you can find one, buy it you won't regret it.

I finally got the 360 last night. I got Gears of War with it and love it. I haven't setup my live yet, but probably do that soon.
