There's a big debate over on Crap Planet about what to do when Trent Green is healthy.
Damon Huard is currently 5-2 and a starter and is ranked second behind Peyton Manning in QB rating. He's playing awfully well.
Would you reinstate Green as the starter when he's healthy (Oakland game at the earliest)?

Actually, we're a division rival in the hunt. You should care. If Herm makes the wrong decision, it will benefit Denver.

Green will prob be the starter once healthy.
Is that the right choice? idk
IMO, the Chiefs end up around 9-7 or 10-6 and still miss playoffs again by a smidge.

Hopefully the Cheeves put in the guy with the cold hand... like the time when Gannon (who owned us) was put on the shelf just in time for the '97 AFC divisional playoff game. Thanks Cheeves.... Grbackup was an integral part in our eventual first superbowl victory.

i would have did the poll but Trade for Brian Griese wasnt included. Bob, nobody cares on the Broncos board about your situation. Talk about it at the Planet. We have enough here with plummer/cutler. Isnt there "Other Football talk" folders at the mane like at the freak? If so, somebody move it there. If there isnt one, then AFC WEST DISCUSSION might need to be added to keep boob over there.

All i know is when Gannon carried your team to the playoffs in 97-98 and you replace him with Grbac that was a blessing. Had Gannon played that game it most likely would have turned out different. Gannon was playing very well for the chiefs before they threw Grbac in there. So, in my opinion i hope K.C screws up again and puts Green back in. :)

I don't care except that Huard's success confirms to me what a floating log Trent Green really is. I never thought the guy was anything special, and it turns out I was right.

Hilarious!
What happened to your offseason mantra about Roaf dooming the Chiefs offense? Surely if Huard can play at this level, Green is capable of doing it, too.
Maybe Green's a pretty good quarterback and Huard is, too. Ever think of that?

That would be my choice.

I bet Trent would be worried though. He lost his other job following a injury but he should be the team player and allow Damon to go until he gets yanked or injured.

You're gonna complain about a thread about a team that is 1 game behind and in the same division when every Turdburger starts their own Plummer v Cutler thread instead of posting in the 100 that are already started b/c they feel they have something original and more important to say!? Then all you get is people taking the time to post I don't care in the thread- why bother opening it up!? Clearly, the point was to get some outside opinion but this place has become a joke for football discussion unless its slurping at the donkey trough.

Impressive and surprising, I will say. But, I still have faith in you imploding. Miami all of a sudden doesn't look like a gimme, for one thing. I think I said 2-2 or 1-3 out of St. Louis, Miami, Oakland, and Denver. 1-3 isn't going to happen, but I'll stick with 2-2.
It was an impressive win Sunday, though. I thought you were going to choke away the lead again - that drive from your 6 in the 4th Quarter was huge.

Trent will do worse with the worse oline than previous years. Huard is more mobile and throws little Griese dinks on most passes, so his rating and success if high against mediocre defenes.
I predict Green returning and a Chiefs swoon, possibly followed by a Culpepper situation where Herm yanks Trent and says he's still not healed 100%. Then the chiefs come up just short and miss the playoffs, people here laugh that the chiefs finish behind the Broncos in the standings for the 6th time in 7 seasons this decade.
Another little piece of Bob dies.

Not really. Huard and Green are similar quarterbacks. And Huard certainly isn't a dink and dunk QB. He's averaged the same amount of yards per completion as Green the last several years.

I would reinstate Green because I think that would disrupt the continuity that the Chiefs have going. I think that Green is going to take awhile to get back up to speed, and reanointing him the starter will cause a rift in the locker room that will effectively put an end to KCs playoff hopes.

My friends and I have always referred to it as a Scotch Tan - but its not lost on others, just b/c you haven't heard of it!
I appreciate you taking the trouble to provide a source.
My last response to your ''Scotch Tan' asked two questions: Have you heard of 'urban myth' and 'skiing?'
Urban myth:
The condition you refer to is a skin condition called Rosacea. It is aggravated
by alcohol, spicy food, stress etc.
WC Fields was a classic example of someone with Rosacea AND an alcohol problem.
People with Rosacea will often have the same ruddy look with or without alcohol. Shanny has a 'tan and maybe Rosacea.'
http://about-rosacea.com/
Skiing: Colorado has over 300 days of sunshine. Anyone who is active year round, will maintain a very good tan.
Shanny is active.
A bungy-jumping bike rider who probably skis or boards.
We hear many things about Shannahan, but drinking has never been an issue that I am aware of.
Hope that helps.

The Chiefs still have not done anything to impress. They lost to Pitts, they beat the Rams on a 3 game losing streak (still had troubles), they beat Arizona (and they had troubles even though Ari stinks), their wins raise questions about their (especially their last couple of wins), and their loss also raised questions. That being said, if hermavg changes qbs, he is totally incompetent (and I think he is at least borderline--see Jets).
