Man, was anybody else fooled by the Vikings?

They were looking like a much improved team before they got blown off the field by New England last week. This week they manage 238 total yards and just 3 points against the hapless Niners.

Brad Johnson managed just 136 passing yards on 31 attempts. That game must have been grueling for Viking fans to watch.

Carolina is the team that fooled me. I thought they'd be amongst the elite teams in the NFL this year and that they'd easily be the class of the NFC.

Atlanta... how do you lose to the 1-6 Detroit Lions, a team that looked helpless thus far in the season?

Minny and Atlanta were rather baffling today but Miami beating Chicago is the most baffling game of the year.

The Giants, though they won, really are not that good. Houston - if not for a hapless fumble - might have stolen that game from them. Dallas = overrated.

Still, I gotta agree with Slappy. In general on the season, Minny had me the most fooled. I really thought this team had something going but the last two weeks have been embarrassments.

I really though Brad Johnson was washed up in Tampa. Looks like he got some kind of boost for about 15 games, now he looks washed up again.

The Fins are a joke. I wish I had kept a list of all the "pro's" talking them up.

It puts last week's meltdown here in perspective. We lost to a good team in a close game.

I think the Bears are way, way overated......but that's life in the NFC.

I wonder what Mock has to say about his team's embarrassing performance;D

He just jumps on the Plummer bandwagon. Must be nice to jockey between the two.

Do you think Minny would trade us Scott, Udeze, or K Williams for Plummer?

They aren't imposters, they played well for a few games, and now they are exposed. The same can be said about our defense. It really is not that different from years past, and the National media doesn't give it credit for good reason, because of all the ugly breakdowns they've had.

Every time denver has trouble getting to the QB I have flashbacks to that 2002 season when the Gannon sat in that pocket for hours and Trevor Pryce being Mauled by Kennoy Kennedy.

Every freakin year for how many years now, no matter how many skilled position players they bring in, its the same type of teams that beat us. Good O-line, good passing game and you slaughter the damn horses. Why is the front office that stubborn on this issue, why do they simply not give a sh*t about the D-line?

Pisses me off everytime i think about it.

Can we trade Jake to Minn for a high pick before camp next year? Brad johnson should be retired living in a "holler" somewhere.

First, about Grossman .... as an FFL owner, I can't say I wasn't warned. Against the Cards, he was awful. Then, last week, he put up great numbers but should have been picked at least three times. He's improved, but he's still relatively inexperienced as a result of all the playing time he's missed with injuries over the past couple of years. I expect the Bears to have their share of offensive struggles down the stretch. The strength of that team is still the defense and special teams, but injuries could eventually catch up with them.

I don't know what was going on in the Minnie/SF debacle. Part of it was a matter of overconfience by the Vikes and SF wanting to prove a point after last week's disaster. But part of it is that Minnie's offense isn't really all that hot. They really don't have great weapons at QB or WR. They did have one huge play erased by a penalty. But that happens to everyone all the time.

Detroit has been slowly improving. Part of that is due to the installation of a new offense. It takes awhile to gel. And Atlanta is always an erratic team. You never know what they're going to do. Remember last year when the lowly Chiefs humiliated them? Who'd think that they'd come into Denver the next week and play an outstanding game?

Pittsburgh has to belong on this list. I hope they lose one more game so they can wipe another dubious Denver record off the books. (Worst start by a Super Bowl winner).

Of course in 1999 Denver had lost John Elway and Terrell exited early in the season. I didn't expect this big of collapse from the Steelers. Guess that Jerome Bettis was better than any of us thought.

I assume you meant Lincoln Kennedy, 'cause K.K. would've been eaten alive by Trevor!

Brad Johnson looks tired. He can't throw with any velocity anymore, he's hesitant, he needs to have his arm embalmed.

Put in the rook. What the hell...

The division itself might be but if I had to pick a representative from the entire NFC for the bowl it would be NY Giants.
