None of Wayne's routes were Curl's either, they were 12-15 yard comeback routes. If you roll the LB out that wide then the TE's and RB's have a free pass inside.

And the answer to your original question is to shake things up. They ran it 2 out of 60 plays. If you listen to people around here we ran two plays all game when in fact we rarely repeated one play and it was usually inverted the second time around.
