View Full Version : Don't get a false sense of hope with Plummer

Everyone on here knows Plummer did a decent job yesterday, but the key question is WHY???

He did well because he was not put in a pressure situation. What I mean by that is - the running game was effective against quite possibly the most porous run defense in the league - thus opening up the boot and play action. Once again wait until next week against Pitt - we won't be as effective running the ball and they will not allow jake to boot. He will be forced to sit in the pocket read a defense under immense pressure. His true colors will once again emerge.

I'm not saying Jake didn't play well, because I thought he did; I'm just saying when we face another solid defense that forces him to stay in the pocket he will once again struggle.

Pitt is a big test for him

Pitt only allowed 91 yards of total offense against Oakland, so their D is not the problem

Yeah I was shocked that the boot was working so well. Anything can happen next week. Lets hope Big Money plays and Big Ben sucks. Hoping for another 13-3 snorefest victory.

And that's all we'll need...an angry Pittsburgh team with their season on the brink. Made to look like chumps by the Raiders, who didn't even have 100 yards of friggin offense.

Thank you very much, football gods...

I honestly see the broncos having a very difficult time with Pittsburgh next week for their pretty solid run defense. Wouldn't surprise me at all to see the broncos at 5-3 after next sunday shaking hands with the chiefs at the table next to them. The defense though, can prevent this, and probably will have to...dman

*then again, manning and the boys dinked and dunked down the field just like the steelers last year. Not feeling good about this game at all..
