I was hooked by half points twice last week. Then the cowgirls laid a dookie.

I'm now just 7-5 in the pros after horrible weeks back to back. I have had three hooks in two weeks. Rather than slither off and hide like my reptilian instincts want...I will snake up and confront this weeks enemies....Damn...three hooks in two weeks. And Kansas City had three shots inside the one or two. Unreal.

I'm even worse on college football. I took Iowa and got another half point there. I think I'm 1-3 in college

0-2 MLB. Damn Yankees.

Anyway here goes if anyone wants to beat the mock, evidently it's not that hard that year. Snakes don't usually get red-faced, but I'm on a serious losing trend, dipping below .500 overall for the first time in memory. Ugg.

Anyway...

I'm going to homer up on the Horneads and take the home dog against a wounded NE team and take the 2.5. At least I can't get hooked by a field goal.

I'll take the Golphers in another HornHead land Homer pick and take the 27 against Ohio State away.

Hell, give me another Hom...wait...I will curse them...(like I haven't before)...

Give me the resurgent Aint's -2 against the Ratbirds at home. I won't see the game, it's likely to be ugly. I just hate them that much. I don't have to fret about hooks this week.

I like these picks alot more than the last two weeks quite honestly.

I think the Vikings are a real strong play. They're tough on both sides of the line of scrimmage. The Patriots are pretty easy to handicap. They beat teams they can run the football against and struggle like hell against teams that shut them down on the ground. Minnesota will shut them down.

Plus, they're home underdogs on Monday Night, which has a proven track record over the years.

I thinking hard about New Orleans, too. Certainly not a team I'm about to get in front of right now.

Picking those pesky Golphers doesn't mean I don't want to keep Floyd of Rosendale. I just like 27 points...can't be that bad...maybe...Floyd is the Golpher/Hawk trophy...I'm not sure what the OSU trophy is...but I bet there is one.
