ACC-Clemson
Big 10-BUCKEYES! woot woot!
Big 12-Texas
Big East-??? WV or Louisville neither D is too tough, that game is going to blow out the lights on the scoreboard.
Pac 10-SC
SEC-Fla/Auburn the rematch will tough to call as well
MWC-BYU
WAC-Boise St.

This season has the potentional for another BCS screw up, if the unthinkable happens and OSU loses to the #2 Wolverines, USC drops to ND will either Louisville or WV jump all the way to the #2?? How could they justify OSU falling below 2 if it's not a ass whupping?? I am pretty sure they will not allow two teams from the same conference to play each other in a bowl game much less a National Championship game. Ohio St. would be in the Rose vs. SC? Texas and Michigan? my head hurts this is like trying to figure out time travel...
But then again most likely Ohio St. will defeat the evil Wolverines and all will be right with the world and the BCS.

It does get dicey, How far does meatchicken drop after if they lose a close road confernce game to the #1 team in the country. If OSU loses where does that leave them in the rankings? Right now the only thing that looks to be a sure thing is that either OSU or Meatchicken will be in the NC game. I just hope we see some quailty BCS games outside of the NC game.

Better worry about beating Mizzou first. You lose that and the only way the Huskers see UT again is on TV.

If Nebraska makes it to the CCG, and I believe they will, I will give them a better chance to beat them than they had Saturday in Lincoln. Just a gut feeling ... and I donīt like this feeling a whole lot.

Why do they play the CCG in KC there has got to be a better place. Mile High perhaps ? Seriously, which fan base in the big 12 wants to go to KC ?

Isn't the B12 Corporate offices in KC? Or is that Dallas? I've have no idea why that game is played there yet Denver does not get a sniff.

KC is pretty close to MU, KU, KSU, ISU and NU. A game in Denver would be pretty sweet, but KC is a more reasonable location for all North teams not located in Colorado. Anyway, I would say Texas is the favorite to win the Big XII, if only because I don't know who will win the North yet. Nebraska will have a test this week at a high-scoring OSU team, a huuuge game at home against MU and then our toughest conference road game at A&M. Even our last game at home against the Buffs could be close if their defense plays well. Texas, on the other hand, must simply keep from slipping up twice.

You don't think those schools would travel to Denver? There's a boat load of Alums from each of those schools already living in Denver. ISU and KU will never be in the CCG anyway, so they are irrelevant. There certainly more to do in Denver and the surrounding area in December than KC as well.

Exactly, I would assume people from the Big 12 south would be more likely to travel to Denver in Dec. (skiing & Game) than they would to KC. Who wants to sit around in that cold ass weather and have nothing else to do but see the game that sat. In Denver you could make a little trip out of it. Its not like teams don't travel on a regular basis.
The Big 12 Offices are in Dallas.

Seems to me there were some financial concessions given by KC to host the games there that Denver and otheres did not match.

Probably free use of arena, concession revenue and perks for Big 12 big wigs.

It's almost a tradition that the Big XII South winner wins when the game is played at a North site and visa versa. It hasn't always followed form but it usually comes out that way starting with the Texas win over Nebraska in the very first Big XII Championship at St. Louis.

As to the original post:

ACC - Clemson has the edge but watch B.C. which has the tie-breaker.
Big East - West Virginia should win the round robin with Louisville and Rutgers.
Big 10 - Ohio State although Michigan always plays best when OSU has the most to lose.
Big XII - Texas has the inside rail. Don't count out the Aggies yet.
Pac 10 - USC gets Cal at home. Edge to the Trojans.
SEC - Arkansas has the lead and nobody has yet to beat Mustain. They have my vote for now.

If Boise St. somehow gets to play in the Fiesta bowl they will lose 63-13 to Texas while some much better team (Cal, Auburn) will have to play in a lesser bowl. 8 team playoff would be perfect this year, as it would've been in 2004, 2003, 2001, 2000, 1998.

Yeh, we wouldn't want a playoff so that every conference could compete now would we. Sooooo sad that the utes snuck in and destroyed one of the supposed "big boys". sad really. conference champions only playoff works much better. the so-called top25 or bcs rankings is shear bs, the only reason that the utes got a shot (not much of one though) at a bcs game is because they went undefeated and smoked a bigboy school. but they couldn't get a shot at the title???

I was happy for a team from the MWC to get to play in a BCS game but come on they played 8-3 Pitt team, who probably didn't deserve to be there but got the automatic bid because of their confernce tie in. Its not like a team from the MWC beating pitt is a big accomplishment. I really wish they would have played Auburn that year. Both were undefeated and I wanted to see if Utah was really that good. Im sorry but a win over Pitt just doesn't do it for me. Maybe in the 80's but not now.

Do you really think they could have beaten USC that year ???

USC? Hell, do you think they would have beaten any top 10 major conference team? If the minor conferences have an unbeaten (like Boise St this year or Utah that year), let them into a playoff as a play-in team. Have the best 2 of the MWC, WAC, C-USA play the play-in game, then let the winner into the 8 team playoffs. I think the 12-0 mid major would lose, but at least that gives them a chance.

OU is easily the second best team in the Big 12. I don't understand why everyone is down on them this year. Despite what thier record says they are a one loss team.

meanwhile Old Miss is hanging in there with Auburn.

Im sure you could play with them, but they would give you a hell of a game. neutral field you think you blow them out ? come on they are a good team. Trust me I hate OU as much as the next guy but to say they aren't very good is just being a homer.

That is the most retarted thing you have said all year. You guys would get smoked just like you did at Sheep Humper State today. I like most Husker fans, but then again, most of them are reasonable.

Well, on my part I think the OU and NU are fairly even this year, though we'll see how the next few weeks play out. The Huskers look like they are going backward while OU looked very good today. It would probably hinge on where the game was played. At home, we are pretty tough. On the road, under Callahan we have a habit of getting beat by good teams.

ROFL! That is the best joke I have heard all day........other than watching NU's defense in the 2nd half against OSU! Wow, they made OSU look ALOT better than they actually are. Don't get me wrong they are good, but......LOL
