View Full Version : Hi-Res Pics trick (Great for Wallpapers)

Mods if you could sticky this...

1. Go to SportsLine (http://www.sportsline.com/).
2. At the bottom in the features links section, click Photos (http://www.sportsline.com/photos).
3. Football > National Football League (http://www.sportsline.com/nfl)
(You can look through the main gallery, or select Broncos from the dropdown menu.)
(You can also just go to the Broncos main page (http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/teams/page/DEN) and click Photos (http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/teams/photos/DEN).)
4. Select a picture from the Photo Selection area.
5. Right-click on the picture > Properties
6. Copy the Address (URL)
7. Paste the address into your address bar.
(If you're smart and use firefox, just right click > view image instead of the previous 3 steps)
8. The URL for all photos should end like this: _lower.jpg
9. Replace lower with 1024x768
10. Hit Enter.

Example:
This: http://images.sportsline.com/u/ap/photos/OHKS112102300_lower.jpg
Becomes this: http://images.sportsline.com/u/ap/photos/OHKS112102300_1024x768.jpg

Oh, and the ones with a thin black frame around them can't be enlarged...

No, it works. It only works with certain types of images though.

If they have a black border, it won't work. It also doesn't work on the images that show jaggy borders and are usually labeled with dates.

It still works. CBS just hasn't uploaded the right pictures yet.
