looks like they are going to play a reg season game out of usa.
I see how the owners care mostly about the money of a lost home game, but what about what losing a home game could mean to a season? I'm sure Broncos will be asked to go and do this.

As long as it's not played in N.Korea, Iran, Iraq or Bolivia.

I seriously doubt people there have the money to buy tickets to a NFL game ...

Personally I HATE this idea. I understand from a business perspective why the NFL wants to do this. They'll sell more merchandise and make more money. I just don't think its right to play regular season games outside the USA. Pre-season, I think it's a great idea.
But what's next? Playing the Super Bowl in Mexico City? Tokoyo? Berlin? I know it seems far fetched and that I'm probably over-reacting, but I just don't like this idea at all. We only get 16 games to play in the regular season anyway, it's not like MLB and their insane 162. I want all of those games played where the core fans have access to their teams.

how about argentina then? Seriously though in Mexico or Canada it would be tempting to make a little trek of it and travel to see the game.

There's been talk of a game being played at wembley in London once its been rebuilt. If the broncos were playing in that game i'd do anything to go see it. I can see how you guys would not want to lose a home game. I'd go to a game at wembley anyway even if it wasnt the broncos playing

Apart from the fact that I´d obviously be pumped to have the Broncos playing on my doorstep, I see your point and I´m not sure if this is such a good idea. If you take world wide popularity the NFL probably is #3 behind the NBA and the NHL. If they wanted to go ahead with this, I´d just try to have a Raiders/Cardinals like game outside the US every other season and see how it gets accepted. The problem with football and spreading it is that football right now is only played professionally in the US. If you want to spread it, you have to give foreign people local heroes to cheer for.

Doubt Argentina has a stadium that meets NFL standards. Estudiantes new one is the only one I can think of. The Monumental and Bombonera probably are too old. But maybe Blak can shed some light on this.

South America is a definate no go. There is alot of anti- Americanism going on down there. They really don't like us. They say we ignore them, talk down to them and dismiss them as irrelevant. They also are very oppossed to the WFTA(world free trade agreement) that the U.S. is trying to get through.

Apart from political reasons you also have to look at what countries have suitable stadiums. Fairly new and 50k+ is the minimum standard, I guess, and that only leaves you with a handful of countries.

I really don't like these out of country games it's not fair to the players to take them out of their element just so the NFL can cash in on some more revenue and european merchandising. Also lets see who they send over there that tells you which team they don't care about or their season, would you as a fan want your team to play at home with the home town crowd or send to eastern bulgaria to play the game and maybe start a losing streak for your team.

Well, if you dropped $ 700-800 on a trans Atlantic flight, it´d be kinda idiotic to just stay for a day or two and London to Amsterdam is a really short trip. :)
And, yes, Amsterdam is great.
