View Full Version : Can we chalk up another AFC West division championship?

Well seeing as how we already have one win over the Raiders and the Chiefs, and the Chargers season seems to be "Lights Out", it seems as though we are already looking at antoher clinching of our own division. The season isn't even half over, it looks as though the AFC west wasn't nearly as good as everyone predicted. We are the front runners of the division with an offense that averages less than 20 points a game only the faiders are below us. But with a stellar "D" we seem to have this thing sealed up anybody ready to make bolder predictions?

Is it January? No? Then no, we do not chalk up an AFC west title. Yet.

No. It's VERY difficult for anybody to repeat as AFC West Champion...

Kind of premature after only 6 games played, isn't it?

Please send this thread to the butt where it belongs. Denver has done nothing but guarantee themselves of a 5-11 season.

Losing one or two LB's ain't gonna keep the Chargers down. they'll be right in it at the end. The Chiefs will make their run at some point and our team doesn't have a creampuff schedule either.

If we can get Scheffler in the game and Marshall continues to improve, I think we will win it. Kansas City is soft and inconsistent, San Diego looks to be overrated and the Raiders are pretty much out of the race already.

Unless you are espn, nfl network, charger players, fans and office staff. I was sure the chargers were crowned a superbowl team after beating on oakland and tennesee

You're about 9-10 weeks too early to do that just yet sport.
I hope the Donk players have as much entusiasm......especially with Indy and Pitt, 2 of the best pass rushing Ds in the league and your try with a new OT.
its big fun.

That's just it Indy and Pitt are not in the AFC west! The rest of our games are going to be tough and unless we find that needle in the hay stack known as offense we are bound to lose a couple games but I think our only AFC west challange lies at Arrowhead bucase as bolt supporters well know it is almost impossible to win there espically late in the season

Nice you just jinxed us!
We could go into SD 6 -3 or even 5 -4 (the way we let Oakland hang around at home last time!) & in a race for our playoff lives. This is way too premature.

I don't think you can't count on anything in today's league. People around here have refered to the Browns and Raiders as scurbs...relatively speaking...maybe that is true....but they're still NFL Football teams and on any day can beat another team. The difference between the best and worst team is so small these days I just really don't think you can realistically call your shot.

Are you bi-polar? In some threads you defend Jake to the hilt and others you crash down on him. You have me very confused my man. :P

I'd say this is jumping the gun. The Broncos have the Colts and Steelers over the next two weeks. The Chargers get the Rams and Browns, both at home.
Lets get past the next two weeks first. If the Broncos hang onto first place after those two games, then they have a great chance of taking the division.

Absolutely not. We haven't even played San Diego yet. We only beat KC at home by three points. We beat a fading Raider team by ten at home. This division race is far from over.

Don't worry about Freak. He's an idiot. Just put him on ignore like I did and the board will become a much more reasonable place to surf.
