I"m honestly not trying to make light of Lepsis's injury, but my Dad is in town, and we were talking about how it could be some seriously bad news for the team and speculated a bit on the depth (or perhaps lack of) that we have there...
Then I wondered, how many TDs will it cost us a game, and got a pretty good laugh about the thought...

That's what I said yesterday as well. It's a loss for the team but it's not like we're the Colts or Seahags and pass the ball 35-40 times a game and count on our passing offense.
Plummer and the pass offense is near the bottom of the league anyway so it's not like we've got major ground to lose with this Lepsis injury.

How are you going to measure something like that?

Wow! No love for old Matt, eh? Broncos fans will be surprised to find out how much Lepsis will be missed. Obviously, he's being taken for granted. Matt is an excellent all-around tackle. Always shows up. Always does his job. You never hear about him. As the Bard might have put it, perhaps he'll be missed more in the breech. He may not count in TDs not made, given the current state of the offense, but he may be missed when Jake starts getting blindsided a couple of more times per game.

Well, it can't cost them two considering the team is only averaging 13.7 points. Unless, of course, the Lepsis injury causes the Broncos to score negative points. Now that's a devostating injury.

Oh, I think Lepsis is one of the most under rated players on the team. I just don't know how you are going to measure how many TDs the injury costs the Broncs.

Hopefully none...we really can't afford to lose one.

I'm hoping none, since we were scoring 13 points a game with him, and scored 17 without him, but by no means does that show what his loss is going to mean...
Huge blow to be sure!

LOL. "What's a touchdown?" I remember them from the ancient past. Touchdowns rained from the sky. Our granaries were filled to overflowing with touchdowns every fall. And then came the great famine . . .

Should be how many "touchdown" a game.
Since we are only getting one a game.

Wow another thread dedicated to the teams success based on one player. I remember as early as 4th grade flag football the coach taught us we "win and lose as a team".
This is football...Guys get hurt. You fill the hole and move on. The goal is to win the game not count the points and who to blame because enough points weren't scored.

It will seem like zero (or a negative number) because the O will get better as the season progresses.

Forget points...what about Plumber getting hurt?
Oh wait...

None. Because according to the "experts" around here, any losses will be because Plummer did it (or didn't do it, whichever is your personal needs).
