View Full Version : Esiason on Peyton v. Eli

Peyton will go down as one of the greatest QBs to ever play the game. Let's let Eli get to Elway's or Marino's level before we start to compare him to his big brother.
Maybe it's me, but I think Peyton should get to a Super Bowl before people start comparing him to Elway or Marino.

Even Marino at least made it to the super bowl. And he put up gawdy numbers when they let you play footbal five yards past the line of scrimmage.

I'm going to wait until Peyton's career is over to decide where he is on the best all-time list.
Hey, you never know. He could win his last two seasons' superbowls!

Peyton needs to have a playoff record greater than .500 before they start comparing him to Elway. Marino, fine, but 3-6 doesn't compare to Elway's 6-5 in the 1980s, in the first halves of their respective careers.

Petyon is a good QB. Won't be great until he can win the big one, imo. It's not like he hasn't had the talent around him. I mean crap man, who outside of Denver can name the WR's we had for those Super Bowl runs in the 80s? They might remember the "Three Amigos" but I bet they can't name them.

Boomer is really getting on my nerves lately the title greatest should apply IF forehead boy can get a couple superbowl rings under his belt first. Until then boomer needs to change up his lipstick.

Boomer just wishes he was ever worthy of carrying Elway or Marino's jockstrap.
