I think they're reading way too much into the Fade's win today if they're calling it a three team race.

Not yet. Nice win by the Chiefs today, but I expect KC to win their divisional games at Arrowhead. Their other 2 wins are San Fran and Arizona.

beat me to it Clockwork. I was just going to say that the Raiders only have 1 win so far. It's way too soon to say they are right up there with the Broncos and Chargers. :~ohyah!: Maybe in a week or 2

Sure. I haven't seen the injury report but our starting left tackle just got injured and we're not even at the halfway point, so of course anything could happen...except the Fade winning it.

I think it is, but only because of our offensive production. Should that improve...I think it's ours to lose

I'm sadly enjoying this chiefs win. It gives the Chargers a div. loss and allows the chef fans like bob to thump their chests a little bit more before they get their hearts ripped out by watching the chiefs joke once again.

LOL 3 horse race my arse. The cheaps highlight of this season will be if they can scrape a win against us on thanksgiving, the difference being, even if we lose we make the playoffs, even if they win they wont make the playoffs.

Everyone know Deion is as dumb as a post and the last thing on Mooch's mind is the NFL. He is already recruiting for Michigan State.

I gotta hand it to the Chiefs, they're playing their hearts out and winning despite those injuries to their QB and o-line. But sadly for Chiefs fans, it could wind up to be another big tease and another playoff just missed.
I think they tease for a WC spot but miss and maybe play spoiler down the road.

Typical.
Now, who's gonna be the first clown to dub SD "The best 4-2 team in the NFL"?

You're right three teams trying to keep pace with the Broncos.

The Chargers can just continue to be the best "x-y team not to make the playoffs" every year as far as I'm concerened.

Maybe....Only thing we know for sure though is who one of the horses is (5-1).

Hmm, since San Diego's defense is falling apart now...
I think if Denver beats Indy next week and San Diego falls to St. Louis, this is a one horse race.

Three teams(KC, SD, Den) have a shot at the playoffs, but only 2(SD, Den) have a shot at the division.

If Diego is the best 4-2 team ever, are the Ronald McDonald Chiefs the best 3-3 team to lose by 38 points this year?

Most definately the AFC West is a three team race.
Chiefs: 3-3
Chargers: 4-2
Broncos: 5-1
Way too early in the season to tell who will win the division.

The interesting thing is that each one of the three; Den, KC & SD, all have 'show me' stretches in their schedule, broken nicely with an Oakland game game sandwiched in to help boost the stats.
Denver is about to enter into a rouch road with games against Indy & Pit, but then out to Oakland for a quickie, and back to the grind.
KC has Seattle, at St. Louis, at Miami, and a freebie as Oakland comes to town.
San Diego has St. Louis & Cleveland at home, then at Cincinnati and AT Denver before they get their Raider prize at home.
So, see?? The Raiders are good for something...two byes in one season.
I'm sure the NFL will want to look at this...just isn't fair.

Honestly, I think it's a two team and one pretender race. KC just doesn't have the horses or the coaching to threaten for the division championship, and I fully expect they'll be on the outside looking in on a wild card spot.
That's not to say they won't press for it... They may. But when December rolls around, they'll play KC football, which is a good thing for us.

wayyy to early to telll, but as of now, yes it definitely is a 3 team race.
KC beat a good SD team, (granted at home, but still)
As wabbit said, each team is going to get a chance to prove it the next 4 games.

I don't.
I think our defense is just going to be too much for every team left on our schedule.

I wont take the KC Chiefs out of it yet. I remember we were 8 and 4 one year in 92 or 93 i believe and Elway got hurt. REEVES DECIDED TO HAVE MADDOX AND MOORE GO IN ONE PLAY EACH AT A TIME. We lost the last 4 games and didnt make the playoffs. Of course, many here would love that scenario to happen to see Cutler come in. We have too many games in division to start thinking only one or two teams are in this thing.

There is a 3 team race for the #1 draft pick.
The NFL network job is to promote the NFL.
