Or AZ got their hearts ripped out in last second losses the last two weeks and they came out predictably flat today.

Could be, but Oakland looks like they are in the huddle with Matt. He keeps throwing the same passes over and over.

Wait...wasn't Leinart headed to the hall of fame last week? Who needs perspective when hype will do?

They had no running game, an OL that would get even Superman killed and they fell behind early in the game.

What do you expect from Leinhart? The kid was running for his life most of the game and had Derrick Burgess in his face all game long.

Nope, i wouldnt do that. Wouldnt be prudent. But still, if people think Leinart sucks putting up good numbers on a bad team than they dont know anything about football. Its simply amazing. lmao

What do you expect from Leinhart?

My expectation was that Leinart would do very well in this game, since I had so many people telling me he was great against the Bears defense which is right up there with Denver's D. 13/32 203 yards and 2 interceptions against the faid.lmao. Hey the kicker made his kicks in this game, what's your excuse now?

No running game, no pass blocking. You know, the things you need to be a successful Qb in the NFL. Pretty obvious to me. Ha!

Well then your expectations were clearly wrong.

Maybe they should fire the offensive coordinator.

What a gutless move by Green. They were the only team to score those points against Chicago and he makes him his scape goat. Pathetic.

Isn't it mind boggling that someone would post a thread ripping a rookie quarterback for a bad game in his third pro start?

When I started watching football, nobody ever expected a quarterback to get off the bench until his third year in the League.

Marino busted the learning curve and the sink-or-swim method became more popular. Sometimes because of impatient fans, sometimes because the owner simply didn't like signing giant checks for some kid to sit on the bench flirting with cheerleaders all year. Sometimes the kid just deserved to play.

Anybody who saw AZ suffer consecutive gut wrenching losses the last couple weeks knew they were going to come out flat this week. They're also a team that's struggling to change their image as automatic road kill. They've been getting destroyed on the road for so long that half the guys on that squad go out there expecting the worst whenever they're wearing white. Those are the mentally weak individuals Green should be weeding off the team, not jerking the OC out from under this kid at the first sign of trouble.

Leave Plummer alone.

Well, it just goes to show you how a rook can look great in the preseason and in a few quarters of the regular season only to show his inexperience when things get tough.

-Slap-
10-23-2006, 07:33 AM
Yeah, instead we see a ten year vet piss down his leg every week in games that shouldn't be tough at all.

take a look at matt leinart--cuz that's what you're gonna get if you stick cutler in this season. he'll be up one week and cost us games the next week, regardless of the difference in o-lines and running game.

Yeah, because o-lines and running games are meaningless.......LOL

Wake up, people. Plummer is playing worse than any rookie who's currently starting.

That's quite a bit overdramatic.

That Gradowski fellow is struggling big-time. Lets not give him credit because Ronde Barber and their defense won the game for Tampa.

Leinart looked completely horrid yesterday. Awful.

Young has looked like a rookie as well.

Yeah, but would it be a stretch to say Jon Kitna is outplaying Jake?

Leinart will have difficulty playing behind that crappy o-line. Once again, fatass Oliver Ross at RT gets beat constantly in the Raider game and since he protects Leinart's blind side, that's not a good thing to say the least.

The exercise will do him good. ROFL!

Anyway, isn't "Edge" a top back? Oh, that's right...name players at the skill positions, no grunts up front...

I need to keep this thread when the Leinart naysayers are sober. If you want to see a rookie QB struggle, go back 23 years toa guy that kept getting replaced by Steve Fing DeBerg. Yes Steve FING DeBerg. Go look it up to see who that was. Hint: He is now in the HOF. Matt is going to be a phenome. I think this is coming from people who hate the Mighty USC Trojans.

I may have overeacted a bit, but being here in Phoenix, all the hype has just worn down my nerves. I still believe he will be average at best, but also admit he is not the problem.
