Scott has us taking Victor Abiamiri, DE out of Notre Dame.

Blech. Pass on Abiamiri unless we can get Stanford on our schedule.
It would be a kick in the nuts to have Samardzija come off the board one pick ahead of us.

Wow, not excited about the Defense players in the draft. But if Rice is there, you cannot pass on him. He is #2 WR behind Calvin.

Who is the best punt and kick returner in college that will be drafted in 2007? We really need help at these positions. A Deven Hester type player.

I like Marcus Thomas in the first.Thomas is a top 10 talent but should drop because of character issues.Bush and Rice are also good picks but both should be gone by the time Broncos pick. The second round draft Doug Free ,future replacement at Lt for Lepsis. The 3 round the BRonco draft Anthorny Spencer then trade our another 3 rounder plus our second next year for Michael Turner. If Ron Smith retires then go after Drew Bennett. If Lynch is not resigned then go after Michael Lewis.

Now that I've done some extra studying and watched a few parts of ND games...I can't say I'd object to that pick.
Frankly, Abiamiri sounds like an Ebenezer Ekuban with better measurables and upside. Very high character, smart, hard worker, intense, tough, solid against the run, and an improving talent. Top that off with solid to excellent "triangle numbers." Basically, he sounds and looks like everything a top prospect should be.
He's shown up against tough opponents and in big games--USC and Winston Justice last year, Penn State, Michigan State, etc...

If we can't get Quentin Moses or Gaines Adams, I'll be more than happy to "settle" for Abiamiri. He's someone I'll be watching closely during postseason games and workouts...
And yes, we better ****ing take a DE in the first round. DT's a last resort...

I agree, but it will be Wrs, RBs and OTs to prop up the golden boy.
