Awful tough to watch your season end with the bat on your shoulder.

It's been a hell of a postseason for the Cards. I didn't think they'd get past San Diego in the Divisional round, but they just keep gutting it out and getting huge performances from guys like Spicoli and Suppan.

Here's to hoping they can suprise me one more time. :)

Beltran just became the new A-rod for the NY press...

Suppan was such a horse in this series, he's got to be the NLCS MVP.

I've been rooting for the Mets all year... I guess they're my annex team after the M's. Real disappointing to see the bases loaded, and watch Beltran give one of the worst batting performances of the season out there.

Props to the Cards. Hell of a series. Double props to Molina, who had some of the more clutch at bats during the entire contest.

I don't care who wins between the Cards and Tigers. I just want to see a good series.

Definitely. It would be a crime if anyone else got it.

My relatives are partying back in St. Louis right now. It's probably the same atmosphere as when the Broncos advance to the Super Bowl. Baseball is religion out there.

Endy Chavezī catch was a thing of beauty, btw.

Definitely. That was nails. It should have ended the series right there, but Chavez came through

If the Mets had pulled this game out, that catch would have become legendary.

Hell of a play either way.

Yea...taking that first pitch is no biggy. But, swinging at that curve that was well inside...yikes. He really put himself in a hole there.

A six or seven game series would be nice as the last 2 WS were rather dull sweeps.

WRRROONGGG! Taking the first pitch was huge!! C'mon if you get paid 119 Million, u should know they will throw 1 fast ball or maybe 2 if you get the max count. He should have expected that fast ball on the first pitch.

Then the last curve ball, what the hell is he thinking??? that ball was right in the middle, not inside or a little outside right in the middle....at least place the bat outthere see if u can get any contact but don't just freeze up and let them strike u out like that. He choke big time. Beltran sucks.

I don't care who wins now.... hopefully it would be a good series...and hoping Pujols gets the WS's MVP

Tigers and Cardinals met in 1934 and 1968 in two of the most exciting seven game series in baseball history. I think that is a good omen for this one.

Ok, so what happens if you're sitting on a fastball and you get an offspeed pitch and hit a week pop fly to Pujols? How's that going to sit with everyone?

He had only faced the guy once before...

That broke how far again, like 6 feet? That's one of the best curves in the NL...
