Yeah they needed a guy that was married 5 times hooked on Oxicontent , and say Drug addicts dont need rehab they need Jail time , untill it is them that is caught .............. I emailed Air America and told them you need more people willing to lie for thier side ...After all the right has plenty that will ,Rush , Insanity , Savage , O'Rielly , etc ...................

You already have plenty of people who will lie for your side (Franken, et al). But nobody wants to listen to them.ROFL!

Before you say it, I don't listen to any talking heads and I wouldn't mind if they all ceased to broadcast. This is a good start.

Why do they need to have a radio presence? Their presence on free TV is enough for their partisans.

We've talked about this in other threads, but people like Al Franken could have helped out with costs if he wanted to by reducing his salary demands. Plus, they could never get a foothold in a crowded radio talk show landscape, which hurt advertising revenue. Air America just came to the table too late. Rush started at a time (1988) when political talk shows were unthinkable.

I like Mike Medved. By far the most reasoned and intelligent radio host on the air. Even if I dont agree with his opinion, he makes his point well and leaves room for honest debate.

Here is the critical difference: Unlike Studds/'83, Foley was covered up for years. The House Democratic leadership (let alone the Speaker himself) was not, in 1983, trying to cover up for their man for years. In the Foley case, we see how more than one Republican Representative leader sat on this corncob for a LONG TIME.

Personal misconduct may happen in either party. But when it happened to the Democrats in 1983, the vote to censure was almost unanimous, i.e. bipartisan. This time, with the GOP and Foley, there was a prolonged cover-up.

But the "yeah, but what about Gerry Studds?" argument is just the G.O.P. trying to keep the base happy.
