All week NPR has had a series of reports by this guy who's been in Africa for years on why Africa isn't making progress against poverty. This morning they said at NPR.com you could get a link to a free listen.
And, I saw this guy won the nobel peace prize. Microbanking, hmmm. Don't suppose we'd try that. Of course in Iraq it wouldn't work, cause the shiaa death squads would torture and kill anyone trying to make a living.
