I've got to hand it to Jake. I thought he would choke under the pressure of not having a game this week, but by all accounts, he's been chewing his food well, and swallowing it with no problems.
Good job Jake!

I think this week will be a good indicator of the rest of his season. If he chokes against a good D now, It'll be equally tough if we make the playoffs.

True enough, Jake bought at least another 6 to 8 weeks at the helm with the NE victory and if he performs well against the Ravens he'll almsot certainly QB throughout the rest of the year, health permitting, as long as we are still in the hunt.
If he doesn't pull it off and we lose largely becuase of Jake playing poorly, the 'talk' will by simmering right back toward full boil again.
So this is another big game for Jake and I think he'll step up to the occasion at home. Rivers had enough time to throw for most of the game yesterday and he is only a little more mobile than Kurt Warner. Jake will need to have his running cleats on, but if he can burn the Ravens aggressive rush with a couple TDs to Walker/ Kircus early wwe will win this one going away.
If Jake plays well enough to beat the Pats, NE, and the Ravens at our house he'll have it locked up the rest of the year.
