Thanks to everyone here for all the fun times.

One of the Ph. D's in my program has become gravely ill and I have been asked to take over his class for the remainder of the year. Just talked to the dean and then my wife about it and we concurred I should finish the class so the undergraduates do not have to wait an extra semester to graduate. This is a class I have never taught before and it is going to require a lot of preparation on my part above my already difficult course work. Therefore, what little free time I have to devote to this site will be lost until after Christmas.

Fortunately, I have been extended a place in a Childcare Co-op and my children will still get to be with me most of the time.

Thanks,

Mediator12

That sucks :nono:

Why Hotrod? He is doing something new, doesnt get to be away from his kids, and leaves us to bash the defense all we want.

What sucks about this? ;D

Take care of business, Med! You've been schooled so much by me that I am going to give you an honorary football PHD from the GonzoLays Institute of Football Brilliance.

Make sure to check into the Mane every once in while and read my posts to keep your football knowledge sharp. :)

Yeah, the whole Clan is going. About 15 or so at last count. We have immediate family just north and south of CLE. Plus, that is during fall break too.

BTW, what a great time for a bye week :strong: After this becomes official, I will probably be sleeping even less than I am Now. Hopefully, I can Turn off the Ticket this weekend and just prepare for class next Tuesday.

Good luck.

The wife is starting school, again, this time focusing on psychology. It shouldn't be too hard to figure out what's wrong with me. She currently is debating whether to just get the master's or get the doctorate. I think she should get the doctorate.

All depends on what you want to do and how much you want to pay. A MHC (Mental health counselor) can practice just the same as a Ph.D with less time and money invested.

Only problem there is that you can NOT be a Sports Psychologist without a Ph.D or PsyD. APA finally shutdown all the quackologists who ruined the Sports Psychology field for a lot of Professional teams. The Only good news is that the average age of coaches is trending down and a lot of the burned bridges have been jettisoned.

Oh well, She can come work for me in a few years and I will set her straight for you ^5

Good luck with your dissertation as well. One small suggestion, don't worry so much about doing something grandiose, and worry more about getting something out quickly (some people make it so complicated they never finish it). You can always have the rest of your career to deal with the grander things. Also, be careful if your focus is in an area you love, because far too often candidates end up hating the subject after investigating and writing it to death.
