I posted this comment on the 18 of Sep., "To win the formula is simple get Walker the ball! The man has played awsome, he just needs some more touches", and as you all saw on sunday I was right! Well maybe just lucky but, the man is so soild fundamentaly in the fact that he doesn't wait for the ball to come to him he jumps up and gets the ball at its highest point. This is basic 101 receiver drills the man was such a great pick-up Shanny gets an A for this off season move. Once again the key to us winning more games this year will be get Walker the ball and let him take it to the house!

Brag away.
Refreshing to actually see someone bragging about something GOOD that happened around here, as opposed to gloating when we fail.
The Walker move was brilliant, plain and simple. Certainly the best use we've made of a #2 pick in ages.
Like someone else already posted... the guy basically won us two games already. Of course, that's an oversimplification, but he was a huge part of both wins... making key plays. EXACTLY what we've needed at the WR spot for a long time.
You'll find no bigger fan of Rod Smith than me, but it was time to get him some help, and we finally did. Watch how this HELPS Rod's game, too.

Well, since we are bragging and all, and considering that I'm not one to usually toot my own horn, I will begrudgingly post my "I was sooooo on the money with my pregame prediction post" here.

Given the level of "talent" the Patriots posses at the WR position, Brady will have a hard time making any plays downfield because Troy Brown ain't beating Champ Bailey and Reche Caldwell ain't beating nobody in the NFL. That means the Patriots will rely heavily on their TE's but that plays to our strength given the speed we have at LB's. Coming from a division in which we play Antonio Gates and Tony Gonzalez 4 times a year, we are well versed in shutting down the best at the position. Last year, Gates and Gonzalez both had their worst games statistically against us. Last week, Gonzalez had what, 7 yards receiving? So don't expect Ben Watson to have a big game.
The Patriots are going to have to rely on Dillon/Maroney to beat us. They will be forced to dink and dunk -- much like the Chiefs did last week -- in the passing game because they don't have a NFL caliber starting WR on their team.
Considering all of the above, the oddsmakers giving the Patriots -6.5 pts is ludicrous. How are they going to score? This game will play out much like the Steelers/Jaguars on MNF and will be a battle of field position and TO's. I like the under on the 39 pts and the Broncos +6.5. Remember, we beat this team twice last year and four of the last five times. The whole "revenge" factor being played by the Patriots is idiotic because they got their chance at revenge in the playoffs last year because we whopped them in the regular season. How did that turn out? Go under and the Broncos in this game.

Nice calls fellas. Gonzo was on the $$$.
So far so good for Walker. He's actually kind of in a free agent year for him. The contract is out there, he's signed it, but he still has to earn it. And he sure is. His atheticism is great. He's gonna be counted on vs Bmore even more than ever. But the more I see of him, the more confident I am in him. Especially one on one. Twice he has come up with huge catches where he is isolated outside.

Yep, the Great Gonzo was the only person to realize that letting Branch go was idiotic. Troy Brown was allowed to surf the market or they would be totally screwed. Caldwell is nothing more than a #3.
Any time Denver goes east it's tricky. We don't travel east well. And we haven't played well in prime time till recently, I would rather play late on the east coast than 10AM Denver time. Our record in early games on the road is attrocious. We need our beauty sleep.
Brady can't do it by himself. When Ben Watson is your primary target, your in trouble. Troy Brown is almost as old as Rod and has two more years in the NFL. I'm just glad we got him and stocked up on recievers now that it appears "The Preacher" looks close to the end of the road.
Want to know what is ironic? Lelie has 5 catches for 75 yards. Right when he could be poised to grab the #2 with Walker poised to be the 1, and Rod getting more rest as a #3, he goes to Atlanta. Don't tell me that Atlanta didn't need the long ball when they went down 19-3 by halftime.
BTW, out of Lelie's 75 yards for the season, 48 came from one play last night. Other than that he has 27 yards on 3 catches.

Being forced to watch the packers in the past, living in cheesehead land. I knew how good walker was, and when the Broncos picked him up, I got that warm fuzzy feeling. And sure enough the man showed his stuff, and just needs to get the ball more. And with that said, all we need to do as devoute fans is watch and wait for the rest of the NFL to see the shlitz come down, when Javon racks up another probowl year on our way to SB XLI.:~ohyah!:

Didn't Bob, or Crazywhore say that he'd suck this year? They're so stupid.
As I have been saying since the draft in my sig line.... Javon Walker, the steal of the 2nd round. I hate the Packers, but this young man has some serious skills.
Welcome to Denver!

Well, I hate to steal your thunder, but this was what I said back on September 8th:
I hate to say it, but I don't see us winning this week in St. Louis. I'm sure everyone around here will be whining and complaining like the ship is sinking, but I think there will be some positives to take from the loss. For one, I don't think we'll give up a touchdown - I see six or seven field goals from Jeff Wilkins.
Week Two won't be the offensive shoot-out you might expect. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if we don't allow a touchdown again. But I do think we'll win in a close one.
Week Three is where it will get interesting. Everyone will be down on us because of our offensive struggles the first few weeks, but I think we'll come out playing well. I see us again keeping the Patriots out of the end zone, this time until late in the game. And if I remember correctly, that'll be the longest any team has gone without giving up a touchdown to start a season - since World War II, anyway (the Giants, if I remember correctly - no wait, it was the Cardinals).
Anyway, I see us going into the bye 2-1 and feeling pretty good about ourselves.

Sounds like a tall tale to me. Come on - there's no need to stretch the truth to find acceptance.

Ya well earlier this year I argued (correctly) that there was zero chance of Cutler getting the start over Jake in week 4 of the NFL Season....
