What do people who saw the BBC programme think about this?
To anyone who didnīt see this and is wondering WTF Iīm on ... a BBC reporter went undercover for about a year to research claims that past and present Premiership managers were taking bribes (known as bungs) from agents if their players were successfully transferred to the managerīs club. Also caught on camera was how the director of Chelseaīs youth academy, Frank Arnesen, made an illegal approach for a 15 year old England schoolboy international from Middlesbrough. They caught 3 agents on camera and they implicated up to 18 managers.
Overall, I think it was a bit anti climatic and they toned it down at the last minute and only left the stuff in in which they have very hard evidence. Assuming the do have evidence, Bolton and Chelsea could be in deep, deep **** ... if I was a Bolton fan Iīd feel betrayed not only by Allardyce for buying players to bump up his salary, but also by the chairman who lied about the Okocha case. Chelsea still have the suspended 3 point dock hanging over their heads and I really canīt see how they get out of this unscattered if the FA is serious about this and I think they should, as they owe this not only to football fans in the UK, but also abroad as we all want the game to be as clean as possible. Although Iīd be absolutely shocked if this was an English problem only. Redknapp should be fine and either Arsenal or ManUtd (Evra or Adebayor) made a close escape when Mike Newell went public just a few hours too early. Harrison and the other 2 agents should be put out of business.
