Samson's hair was cut (Damn you Delilah!). Samson loses all his strength and mojo. Captured by Philistines. Eyes gouged out. Made slave. Dies horrible (but righteous) death.

Plummer cuts his hair and beard. Plummer loses all his mojo.

Coincidence? I think not.

Plummer's Recent Troubles Explained

Broncos Quaterback Jake Plummer sucks

By Vicki Michaelis, USA TODAY
DENVER — It was recently exposed, in a Denver tabloid, that Jake Plummer sucks. "He's actually thrown more interceptions than touchdowns over his career." Mike Shanahan said in the responding press conference. "If you look at his career, his 'best' year was when he threw for 18 touchdowns. Does that sound like a good quarterback to you?"

Jake Plummer was also on hand at the Conference. "Yes, it's true. I've been sucking my whole career. My career QB rating of 74.6 pretty much sums it up. I've been looking like a not half bad quarterback since I arrived in Denver, but that's only because we have such a great run game. It's not as much that I'm a terrible quarterback, it's that I've been holding my team back with my Mediocrity."

Apparently, Mike Shanahan has known about this for years, but he refused to look like an idiot by trading him away, or getting a better quarterback in free agency, and drafted a vastly superior QB in the first round of last year's draft. "I'm hoping Jay Cutler can rectify the situation. Of course, our grand plan is to keep up the Plummer charade for as long as possible...As to get a high draft pick off of some stupid team once Cutler's ready. I want to be clear on that part...Cutler is not ready."

It would seem that the Broncos are in a tough spot here. They have a crappy Quarterback, but their QB of the future is not ready yet. Apparently, the plan is to stick with Plummer until either the season is lost, or Cutler is ready.

There are two possiblities.

1. Plummer takes two games to shake off the cobwebs.

2. The Steelers showed the world how to defense Plummer and it has been repeated by the Texans, Rams, Chiefs...etc.

I'm holding my Cutler chants until after week 5...if he continues to suck as much, and we don't win our next two games, I'm hopping on the Cutler bandwagon.

If we lose the next 2 games, and go 1-3, we could see Cutler for game 5.

I agree with a poster that said we wouldn't put Cutler in against Baltimore....after all, we wouldn't want to get our future QB killed.

But what a great time to put him in......a home game vs. Oakland.

*Pencils in yet another option for Plummer threads. Up to number 28...*

Well, I'm hoping that Plummer can take the bye week and use it to reset...you know? Come back fresh.

I think the mastermind's nefarious scheme is bubbling to the surface. Big Mike saw all he needed to see in St. Louis. At that moment, he realized it was time to move on. He's done with Jake. Shanahan will coach these next two games to get to (at minimum) a 2-2 record. The NE game is crucial. The Broncos must win in NE. Then, Shanahan has an extra week to gameplan the Ratbirds. Coming out 3-1 would be pure gravy.

Cutler gets the call against the Fade. That gives him Chokeland and the Browns to beat up on before Indy comes to town. I'm gonna go ahead and call it. ;D

I've been here all the time Atlas -- just mostly observing. And what, you don't like the new heavy-irony avatar?

Anyway, I'm surprised no one has picked up on the original post and come to the conclusion that all we have to do is wait until Jake grows back his hair and beard, and I'll will be right in B-land again.....

Can't tell if you're being sarcastic again....or not......but this time I hope you're NOT.....

Seriously, Oakland and Cleveland....arguably the 2 easiest games on our schedule....perfect time for Cutler to come in and get real game experience.

Perfect time for Plummer to pad his stats and regain form and confidence.

Too bad that our 10 year veteran, with 3+ years in our system, needs to "get confident".....

From what I've seen and heard of Cutler.....the kid's already confident.

I almost would rather see the Jake of old making some mistakes but at least opening up the field. At least then our offense wouldn't look as tentitive.
