I don't care what anybody says. We won and I'm happy. I have the rest of the week to hear everybody from the local media, national media, and disgruntled Denver fans to talk bad about them. For today...I'm happy!

Where oh where as our offensive line gone? Oh where oh where could it be?
You mean the O-line that allowed 0 sacks and helped the Broncos gain 145 yards rushing?
You want to point the finger at anyone for the offensive struggles, point it at Plummer and some ridiculous play calling.

So, what do we have to look forward to?
Nothing.. These people are fools, this team is going to be destroyed next week and the week after that when Baltimore (the team that destroyes us and actually has a offense now) comes to town.
This defense is solid (8 quarters without a TD) but with a Offense that sputters around the field agianst average teams and a QB that makes terrible mistakes, the defense is in for a up hill battle all year long. Agian explain to me why Plummer is in there? Can Cutler not toss Interceptions(4 in 2 games), can Culter not toss TD's like Plummer (0 in 2 games), can Cutler not hand the ball off, can Cutler not overthrow or underthrow passes? Ah I get it we need a Vet(Plummer) to do that, thats to much to ask of our 1st round rookie QB. We would'nt want to confuse the young multi-Millionare by asking to much of him now would we....
Some of you might want to squeak out wins and stumble into the Post season only to be embarrased agian as Plummer does his best to destroy us. But not me, I rather go 4-12 get a stud at DE and get ready for the future. Its all about the Superbowl, not stumbling into the Post season only to be a real contenders practice squad.

Zero sacks because Jake can scramble, not cause they helped him much. The rushing was luck and RB skill.

Bronco Fans Do Not Not Not Be Happy With This Win. If We Continue To Play This Way All Year It Is Going To Be A Long Long Year. Please Do Not Be Naieve; We Have Played Two Very Poor Teams When Compared To Colts, Steelers, Chargers, Ravens, Bengals, Etc. If We Played Any Of Those Teams Today, We Would Have Been Killed, And I Would Think That You Know That. All I Can Say Is We Escaped With A Win Which Is Huge, And Now We Still Only Have One Loss With The Ability To Make A Change Prior To Next Week. There Is No Way Cutler Could Do Any Worse Next Week Than Plummer Will Do At New England. Beliceck With Have Plummer So Confused He Will Be Throwing Left Handed Again.

Just hit Caps Lock next time as it may actually be slightly less annoying to read. Plus you'll save your left pinkie finger the inevitable Carpal Tunnel syndrome from hitting the shift key all the time.

Why not. We notched a division win even though we played poorly. Would you prefer we lost?

First of all FUQ the 100 post rule. That is so arrogant. 2nd, maybe we can win all the games this year with field goals.

True.
I would really like to see how this defense handles itself when it is against all odds.
When their own team's offense is crumbling and the opposition's offense is a powerhouse.
True testament to a powerhouse D.

Here's what **I** saw:
With Huard as the steward, the Chiefs came with a very simple gameplan. Run Johnson as often as possible...The Broncos appeared to respond in kind. They wanted to come out, run the ball, run some simple short yardage routes, and wear the Chiefs down. I think Shannahan thought that they could keep Johnson out of the endzone (they did)... just look at the defensive sets. They played a soft zone until the Chiefs crossed mid-field and progressively stacked the line of scrimmage as the field got shorter. They kept the Chiefs from just taking a big shot downfield and used the short field to their advantage. Essentially the Broncos said: "We're gonna stop your running game, but we're not going to sell out to do it until we NEED to." There is some definite genius to that.
There was a lot of problems with offensive execution, but this wasn't an offense that was interested in scoring a lot of points. It was out there to maintain field position and force to Chiefs to make a big play that they just couldn't make. This is why you didn't see a lot of long balls, or bootlegs, or 5 wide sets. They kept extra blockers almost the whole game... (remember all of those times they came out 5 wide and motioned the back into the backfield?)
Summary: I'm not happy with the offense.. they CLEARLY could have executed better. But they did meet the primary requirement of the gameplan: Make the Chiefs offense crawl down the field and force them to make a big play. They didn't, and the Broncos never had to open up that offense. Parcells would be quite proud of this Broncos team.

OK then...now maybe you can explain why they made Damon Huard look lilke the second coming of Joe Montana when they weren't even stacking the line to stop the run.

Huard completed 17 passes for 133 yards with no TD's... what part of that is the 'second coming of Montana'?
That's a little less than 8 yards a pass....and it seems like the vast majority of those where short catch and runs. If you take away his longest pass (37 yards), he averaged 6 yards per pass. He threw the short pass impressively well, but that's all it was... a series of short passes.
The Chiefs had two red-zone trips the entire day...both in the first half (one on the first possession).
I find it hard not to LOVE what this defense did today. It's precisely the type of performance I thought they weren't capable of last year. They didn't sell out the corners on all-out blitzes.. they played a conservative game and succeeded in doing it. My ONLY concern was the tackling on LJ... no one tackles that guy well, but the linebackers (in particular) seemed to be going after him with their arms.. the whole team needs to take a tackling lesson from Bailey. A couple of the stops he put on Johnson where among the best I've ever seen from a corner..
