Can I choose two?? If so, I go with 18 and 22. Still like him though...
After days of the Rams game, I cooled down and still want him to be the starter this year.
I hope he proves it was just a bad game.
Go Broncos!

How about this option: Jake is 32-12 as a starter in Denver and he had a bad game. You'll all see that he returns to top caliber form this week...

I like Jake a lot ... he's a bona-fide competitor and a man's man of a teammate.
But he's not gonna win any games by himself ... and he's prolly not gonna come through in high pressure/playoff situations.
He's a square peg in a round hole .... an average to above average QB - being asked to squeeze every ounce of efficiency possible out of his game and take his team to the SB.
His best days as a Bronco were last year. His best days as a Bronco are over.

Good grief, ANOTHER one who dosen't get it. PARODY. PARODY. PARODY. I can talk more hardcore football than most people I know. During the NFL season my co-workers rant for hours about football. But I come here for fun. There's enough dry talk about pass coverages, play action fakes, 4/3 defenses and zone blitzes. Cripes, I ain't trying to sound like a sports show. I could talk that way but it isn't necessary. You seem to have forgotten some of my more serious posts. But everyone is coming off the spool here about Jake, so I decided to make fun of all the 'anti-Jake- threads. People take things too literally around here.
But in order to satisfy your stereotype, I'll ask you this...is a touchdown worth more points than a hockey goal in golf? :blueflame

Eh... Don't listen to Alec. I've always had a healthy respect for your perspective. Especially during the thick of a season; you bring it. Besides, when is the last time you personally remember Alec holding his own in a football discussion? ;)

Circle Orange doesn't fit the stereotype at all.
You know why? I thought she was a man for years.
Ever since Jake came to the Broncos, I haven't been sure that he was the answer. IMO-->he is still a serious upgrade from the SOB debacle, and has been a very good quarterback for us. However that may be, Cutler is clearly a better qb and needs seasoned, with game experience. My question on JC is, does he have the mental faculties to absorb and go with shannys playbook? Will he scare defenses and thus open running lanes? TBD

What is his top caliber form? I'm just wondering if we've seen the best he can do. Can he for instance, single-handidly take the team on his shoulders if necessary, and win the game? I've yet to see him do this. If the pressure is on, the running game is stopped, and he is held in the pocket, can he erase mistakes and play a winning game?
I was thinking (and saying) that I don't think we could win a SB under this guy, but you know.. I retract that. I think it's possible, but difficult. A very solid running game, a very good D performance, and him just not screwing up could indeed do it.
But I still want to see what Cutler can do. :~ohyah!:

I thought you were a guy, too - and I mean that as a compliment. But it's obvious now that you're a girl ... you're totally confused about sports stuff. You can't get a hockey goal in golf - that's totally impossible!
