Why doesn't the U.S. simply offer to buy every ounce of heroin Afghani farmers can produce? Like Starbucks. Step right in and buy it directly from the farmers, thereby cutting out the Taliban middlemen? Then, we simply destroy it all. I'll bet it would be a hell of a lot cheaper than some of the subsidies we give American farmers and businesses.
That's one good idea. Buy and destroy it. Cheap and effective.

I don't know what the solution would be.
We know you can't stop people from taking drugs or wanting drugs - so the market won't go away..... but you cant make smack legal either IMO.....
