I thought this was pretty funny. You can read the whole article <A HREF="http://www.nypost.com/sports/jets/happy_man_gini_jets_mike_vaccaro.htm"> here.</A>

.......Jets fans could have printed out a blueprint for Chiefs fans to follow, that's how predictably things went at Arrowhead Stadium. All across the summer, Chiefs players crowed about Edwards' light workouts, praised Edwards for - altogether now - "treating us like men," and, in what was a chronic issue throughout his tenure in New York, the Chiefs came out flat, unfocused, blatantly unprepared in week one.

But that wasn't Edwards' only familiar sin. It took Chiefs fans all of two series to boo their new coach, when on third-and-five, well inside the Bengals' red zone, Larry Johnson wound up diving into the pile for a minimal gain. This was precisely the kind of numbingly conservative offense that used to be a staple of Jets gameplans, and used to drive Jets fans insane.

But wait, there was more. Afterward, pressed about that call, Edwards muttered: "Missed communication on the call. I'll leave it at that."

But, of course, by saying that much it was hardly left at that. Soon, offensive coordinator Mike Solari confessed that he'd either lost track of the down or the distance, assuming a place under Herm's Bus that Paul Hackett could certainly tell him all about. And with Trent Green out for at least two weeks now, Chiefs fans ought to enjoy how well Edwards adjusts to those weekly dramas.

No, in many ways, Day One of the Mangini era couldn't have gone better, in Nashville and in Kansas City, in the Jets' present and in their recent past. We'll wait a while to coronate the coach, but leave it at this: He's clearly the right man at the right time for the right team. Which is a damn good place to be.

I've been saying all offseason that the Chief fans will hate Herm before the season's over. Coming from a high-flying Vermeil led offense to the ultra conservative Herm offense is going to eat at the fans all year.

Mike Greenberg (die-hard Jet fan) said it best. Herm is a great coach monday-saturday, but terrible on sundays.

I loved hearing that Herm was headed to K.C.... and things are right on schedule.

Living in NY my whole life until just recently and seeing Herm's entire tenure as Jets head coach you can just see that the guy is not a good coach on game day at all. He is a below .500 coach. Nationwide media outlets like espn think he is a great coach and everything, but the majority of people in NY and the tri-state area know like BroncoFiend stated he is fine Mon-Sat but horrible on Sun.

As a Chief fan, I guess I just just pack it in this year and figure that "Herm sucks", and just watch college ball. After all, the NY media and expert Bronco fans told me so. Forget that Herm took the team to the AFC Championship game, it doesn't matter; he sucks, right? And, of course, you can judge your whole season by the opening game, right? Oh yeah, except for the Broncos. Somehow, the Chiefs lose the first game and that means the season's over. But the Broncos lose the freakin' Rams and it's no big deal. huh?

Yeah, that was one hell of an AFC championship game the Herman Edwards Jets played in. Remember that game? That was amazing. Maybe you should spend more time listening to the "NY media" because apparently Hermanedwardsfluffers.org isn't cutting it as a source of information

Herm NEVER took the Jets to the AFC Championship. They lost in the divisional round first to Oakland in 2002 30-10, then to Pittsburgh in 2004 20-17.

No thanks necessary. Let us know if you need some direction on which college teams might be worth your time.

Check back at the end of the year and tell us how much you like Herm, I'd love to hear your opinions then.

Someone already called you out on this innaccuracy, I just wanted to quote it again, so that I could read it a couple more times and laugh. Apparently the NY Media, and Broncos fans know more about your coach then you do.

Some Chief fans had no use for Herm Average before the season started...

You are a freaking idiot to compare DEnver's problems to the Chefs problem...........below .500 coach just like Vermeil...well DV was just above .500.......

The Chefs gave up a 4th rounder for him too.

You guys should go over to Crap Planet and check out the meltdown that happened when the Jets fans showed up. One Chief fan made a very rude comment at a Jets fan over her stating a fact (in a non-troll) way and in turn about 20-25 other Jets fans showed up and heckle the Chiefs fans.

It was funny stuff. You could just picture some of them with their beat red faces typing furiously at the Jets fans for coming their worst fears about Herm. I've never seen a group of fans fly off the handle like that over an opposing fans opinion.

No, not at all.

Well, then you have seen Bronco fans fly off the handle at a non troll thread. Nothing that has happened at Chiefsplanet would compare to some of the overraction I have received here.

No way. Granted that some people here get pissed over that, but that thread over there was just crazy. Some of the insults the Chiefs fans were throwing around were flat out childish and petty.
