View Full Version : The Raiders "offensive performance" last night was downright pathetic

The Oakland Raider's futility on offense last night has to be some kind of dubious record. It was almost painful to watch. They were in 3rd and 15 every single series last night. They didn't even attempt to run the ball, pass protect, or take a three step drop to get a quick pass off. On first down, Brooks would take a seven step drop while Randy was running 20 yards down the field and before Brooks could get him the ball, he was sacked. And then they would run the exact same play on second down and get the exact same result. And what about third down? The same freaking play! The play calling was pop-warneresque AT BEST.
Then, the most special moment happened last night. They showed the Oakland Raider's offensive coordinator. Who could it be? Some new hotshot trying to get his feel for the NFL game? NOPE! It was escaped geriatric mental ward patient TOM WALSH! He was running a freaking bed and breakfast last year!!! When they showed a close up of him in the booth, he had papers strewn everywhere and thoroughly confused look on his face. What in the hell was Art Shell thinking when he hired this clown? He was running a bed and breakfast for God's sake! And was obviously doing that for a reason instead of coaching in the NFL.
The Oakland Raiders are the biggest joke in sports.

When he´s cut after the season.
Their performance was offensive indeed.

How is it painful to watch? It was AWESOME. I am in extasy watching that joke of a franchise crumble to worst team in the NFL.
Raider fan in my office declared that they are now on the clock!!!
Moss says it's crazy there, being treated like little kids. Porter is cheering Aaron Brooks getting sacked. Gallery is getting abused. The defense looks terrible. Could it get any worse for the Raiders? Hopefully it does. I hope they never trade Randy Moss!!!

I had a huge laugh when the announcer said that Sheelshocked had hired Tom Walsh as offensive coordinator and that he had been out of football for 5 years.
Damm every time they cut to a shot of Walsh he was looking at the play charts like it was the first time he had seen them. It kind of looked like a Jerry Lewis bit.

I have never seen a more pathetic attempt at offensive football in my life, ther D worked their asses off after being handed the task after multiple 3 and outs
Aaron Brooks holds onto that ball way to long.
But ya know what?, we have been losing so long now , commiting the same stupid penalties....Most of the time not being able to stop anything
That was pathetic

What a complete joke that site is. Maimus has some doozies too.
Look for jordan to have about 110 - 125 yards rushing and Randy Moss to have a huge game.
**** espn... and all the media. As soon as we beat the crap out of the chargeless tonight we'll be the sleeper lone wolf of the AFC West... the new cinderella.

Asked if the Raiders could win with this group of linemen, Shell figuratively threw up his hands.
"That's what we have," Shell said. "We have to make them better.
"We just have to dig down, get them ready to go. That's who we have. These are the guys."

And let us not forget Taco John championed the Raiders for selecting LT Robert Gallery and C Jake Grove in the first round of the draft two years ago. He also championed the selection of George Foster. Do we see a trend here?

the Raiders suck!!! We played horrible had five turnovers and should have lost by a lot more than 8, no doubt. But damn! The Raiders were the suckiest sucks that ever sucked! (Homer Simpson) Talk about a bust! Art must have his head so far up his Shell he cant even breathe. Great taunt of the kicker you Umpa-Lumpa look alike Randy Moss, and Sapp throwing a little tantrum and then getting sh#@ talked to by someone in thier first ever real start, we may have lost but at least we had bright spots!

Here are some good ones:
I was listening to DETROIT sports radio and they actually tocuhed upon the Raiders performace on a sidepoint. One of the hosts called it the worst o-line performace he has ever seen and I think he might be right. But man thats sad.
To add on to the misery I forgot to mention the host also said the Raiders playcalling by Walsh reminded him of Tecmo Bowl where you could only run 4 plays. Our 4 plays to him were Brooks sacked, Brooks incomplete, Lamont dive, Lamont toss. I wish it were Tecmo Bowl. Raiders were unreal in that game.

That was the worst, I mean greatest beat down I've seen for a loong time. I loved every minute of it. And to think alot of those knucklehead fans had camped out for days just to see their team get there a**es handed to them was icing on the cake. It was comical watching the Chargers spiking the QB like that. The season is still young is the great part, what will happen next ?

Originally im from Denver ....born and raised.....im an old school fasn through and through....and ive done my share of raider hating......but since moving to San Diego 4 years ago ive changed viewpoints a little......i actually wanted the raiders to win last night....because believe me...there is no bigger banwagon fans in the NFL than charger fans.....i was at the dentist today and the people in the waiting room were actually talking super bowl!!!! and what rivers was going to to with the lombardi trophy...i kid you not....i go to the bronco charger game every year here.....the year when the chargers made the playoffs and lost to the jets people were busting out RYAN LEAF jerseys!! and all home games were blacked out untill WEEK 10 when they played (you guessed it) the denver broncos(thanks to bronco fans the game here is always sold out and almost 50-50 bronco fans). So before you slam Raider fans too much just know that charger fans are more trash talking and more bandwagon jumping than any raider fan ive met!! for this reason and this reason alone i actually was sad to see the raiders lose last night.

There are lots of bandwagon fans in any city in the US. It's no big deal.
We are the hardcore fans. A lot of us practically live on message boards. We listen to sports talk radio. We watch the NFL Network. We have the NFL Ticket. We post on rival team's message boards. ;)
You have to understand though, the number of causal fans far outnumber the number of hardcore football fans. And it goes for any sport here.
Sure, there's a sense of pride if you stick with your team through good and bad and it's annoying to see these people who don't watch football games unless their team is doing good but that's the freedom of choice.
Even as a hardcore fan, it doesn't bother me though. If it takes the team to perform well to get the city excited, then I'm all for it. Besides, it's a bit of an incentive for the ownership to do well.
