sorry if a post like this was posted already. But

I was wondering after watching the pressure that was on jake that whether or not there should be worried about our o-line. also i noticed that mike bell didnt really pick up the blitz well.

your thoughts on these matters.

GO BRONCOS!

The OL is what it is. It will get better with some adjustments. I think what you really saw yesterday was a lot of first time execution problems between Shanahan, Heimerdinger, and Dennison.

No one really has accountablity for the OL just pass plays and running plays. I think they made some real blunders in pass protection schemes and some of that has to go to Heimerdinger as that is his responsibility. The Running game was working yesterday to a decent degree and the play calling was too pass heavy for Jake early IMHO. All things that can and will improve after not seeing Haslet with this defense.

Thank Goodness, we get the Chiefs this week at Home. Nothing like a rivalry game at home with an inept Offense and Shaky defense not playing in the mud and slop of Arrowhead ;D

Mike Bell was at least as effective as Tatum. Having any RB try to pick up an unblocked DE is just horrendous scheming, and even though Mike should have cut him it was a situation he should not have been in. Other than that play Mike was decent picking up the blitz, for a first game rookie.

I don't think the OL is going to be a problem in the long run. I thought we waited too long to break out the screen pass in order to slow down the rush, but I think the OL will be fine.

We have to establish the run, and get the PA game working in order to be effective. That's how the offense is designed, and without PA and misdirection this OL isn't built right. It's been that way for over a decade though, and we've faired pretty well in the past. I expect it to be the same this year.

I agree with this. The OL created lanes and the RBs, on the whole, fought for extra yardage and didn't go down after first contact (yes, even Bell).

All of this, with the Rams defenders crowding the box and not respecting our passing game (why the hell should they).

Our running game performed well under the circumstances, but the next time we face a defense with a true MLB, and solid tackling safeties is when we will really struggle running the ball unless Jake stops playing like Plummer and can beat the 8 man fronts designed to stop the run and contain the pocket we've been seeing since the end of last year.

Remember when T.D. picked up the blitx and cut him down and Elway threw the TD? Mike needs to block to take the feet out, not try to man up. He will just be overrun. Why he was on Little is another mystery. A rookie undrafted rook on a all pro DE? Why wasn't he even adressed at the line?

Never mind...that was Foster's side.

They will teach MB to cut, but there is no way Little runs that free from Foster's side. He just swatted MB like a gnat.
