No one has brought this up, but with mike anderson, Little doesnt make it to jake plummer. Here are the reasons we would be better with him. #1) Mike understood protection and 99% made the right read. #2) Never was just pushed out of the way on a block, bell getting knocked down was horrible, then he doesnt get up to recover the ball. #3) No one to mentor the new bell and the fullbacks, no leadership with that group.
Mike Anderson was not great, but he made the plays that cost us dearly sunday. In our system the back is critical in protection, and you count on him like taxes to be there in that role that you dont notice until its gone.

If jake didn't pump fake fake...pat the ball...and try to pass again...Little doesn't get there.

Maybe the guy he was looking for wasn't open. You'd rather Plummer throw into coverage?

Okay, say Little doesn't get there if Anderson is in the backfield. We still lose 15-10.

I totally agree. Whats wrong with seeing the pressure(it was not on the blind side) hitting the dirt, and play another down. Typical Flummer.

Funny, did you see how many times Bulger threw the ball away. Looks for his guy not open CHUCKS it where no one can catch it.
Plummer may want to check out the film.

Meh, kid made a rookie mistake. He still ran the ball and caught it out of the backfield well.

No one has brought this up, but with mike anderson,
First off, I'v brought it up many times, even before yesterday... when the need for a veteran back (at times) became much more obvious.
Secondly, you're new here... so you should understand that you are ONLY allowed to blame the quarterback today. Even if you feel that there were other problem areas, don't mention it. This is a quarterback-only forum.
See, if you mention that, say... Foster didn't play well, you're obviously nothing more than a P.R. agent for Plummer, and will be swarmed upon by the legion of Remove-Plummer Robots.
So, you're exactly right. Anderson was great in protection, and could even serve as a lead blocker when needed... on top of being a very consistent chain-mover. He's a guy that might have helped in a day where we had QB protection issues.
But, don't bring it up again.

How dare you bring up the play of Soft Georgie. That lardass is infallible. Its all Jake's fault.

I'd rather he throw it away toward a receiver on the sideline

Why dont we throw to the backs more often CO??? I remember we had 2 back-to-back screens in the game that went for 13 yards to Bell and 9 yards to Scheff. Is it not a big part of our offense or is it the lack of receiving talent from our backs down the years???
That has always confused me because IMO it would be another avenue for Jake instead of chucking it into coverage. Surely with the Rams overloading so often we could've made check down throws to the backs and maybe picked up a few yards here and there.

Just Because Mike Bell Misses a play does not mean we need MA back. People are forgetting MA Penchant for big time fumbles. Sure he was good in the pass protection but it is not like Cecil could not do the same thing for much cheaper.

We don't screen because Alex Gibbs hated it, and most of the coaching staff grew up with him. I think that we will see more of those plays as Dinger add somethings to the offense. The check down to backs are there, Plummer just doesn't throw to them at times.

.
Because T Bell has proven he could not catch a whiffle ball thrown underhand and M Bell and Cobbs are also unproven. The two FBs who can catch a pass are only in on about 20% of the plays.
