Great thread... and it's just as important as it was 5 years ago. Time just fades the severity of emotion for people with events like this. In some senses, that's healthy... and part of moving on. But, I agree, great gesture and one I hope to see for the rest of my life.

I would agree...great gesture on their part. Something that remains constant in my life. Very dark day in history that brought a nation together. Props to the Giants.

Shockey giving some love to the men in uniform was swell... even though he is an embarrassing human being 99.99% of the time. I thought it was a classy move... and it made that soldier's day.

It would mean more to me if they wouldn't look so bored during the national anthem. It's all kind of phony IMO. Most of these guys couldn't care less-they are concerned more with their bling, ho's and payday.
