yeah that's pretty cool. I'm sorry for all the dead and misery and the folks in NYC, so don't take this wrong. But those two towers ruined the beautiful NYC skyline. My wife had biz in one of them, and she said they were pits too.

On another thread D-man mentioned moving. If I could live anywhere, I might choose Manhatten. I'm sort of country, and would miss having dogs and stuff, but that place is extremely cool.

I have three countries abroad that are quite nice especially if one is retired with a lots of cash. 1) Vietnam 2) Austrailia 3) New zealand.

Parts of Vietnam are freaking awesome. Talk about beach, puts hawaii to shame. Been to austrailia so many times it's ridiculous, however, brisbane, melbourne or in the northern territories , eastern coastline on the "gold coast" is nice. New Zealand, is incredible. Canada, alberta or british columbia, parts of them anyway. that's about it for me. However, Can't see your neighbor due to distance and trees/foliage/mountains is my thumbrule. Couple of dogs and some weapons and I'm good...

You can take any place with high humidity and shove it. Australia is one place I haven't visited, and I love scuba and snorkeling, so it's on my list.

As far as NYC is concerned, we agree: You couldn't force me to live there, even with a gun pointed at my temple. It's bad enough haveing to deal with the overpopulation of the Denver Metro area.

Now to the towers: sure they look "pretty", but who the hell will want to live in them, knowing they could be the next target.

I've got an old book on skyscrapers and in it, the opening of the WTC depressed the lower Manhattan real estate market for a decade, since such a huge amount of space was dumped all at once.
