I cant beleive ESPN's coverage of the game. Its ALL Leinert! They didnt even mention Cutler except in the lead in to the coverage! They start off the clip with Leinert coming in the second quarter throwing that obviously Ref-assited TD and you can clearly see Paymah being illegally blocked from his coverage right in teh clip and then they show Leinert getting driven into the dirt by Predator and his injured shoulder, and yet and not a single word about Cutler or anyone else on teh Broncos torching thier 1st team defense for 10 points ( =well should have been 10 if Knorr could kick)!

Not to mention how clutch that was of Cutler coming right back from his screw up on the INT with a 1:40 pressure drive from our 14 to score with sevne with under 10 seconds on the clock before half.

I'm calling those A-holes tomorrow and read them the freakin riot act! Matt looked decent for running a ball-controlled short passing game against our scrubs, but Leinert couldnt carry Cutler's jock tonight or the rest of the preseason!

Cutler isn't dating Paris Hilton, so why would ESPN care about him?

Let them have their pre-season coverage, while Broncos will get the post season coverage.

They'll cover him on NFL Live. Even Salisbury was talking about him as the best of the three today. Even if they don't, I don't care because our guy is obviously better. Leinert is a more mobile Brian Griese.

True KAylore, Al and Slap, but it will be fun seeing if I can get hold of the guy in charge of such oversights and try and educate him. :-)

Ah Ha! ESPN have suddenly seen the light and asked for forgiveness for the error of their ways and posted a more proper clip now that starts with Cutler throwing the TDs and then shows Matts TD complete with the mugging Paymah got by their DB that made it possible.

I guess someone else who actually watched the game must have alerted them to the one-sided nature of their first report.

Damn that was a rocket throw of around 60 yards in the air to Kircus ... right in his arms. Read it and weep Ashley you should have held you water one more year!

Cutler could have helped Lelie make a lot of money.

True enough CO!

And it was Sportscenter that had the right coverage, not the 30 minute ESPN highlights ... they are still showing the Leinert show.

Did anyone see how Vander-Choke missed Two FG for the win in Dallas ... ?

Parcells had smoke coming out of his ears in the post game press conference!

On NFL Live last night they showed the highlights and all they showed was both Cutler and Leinart no one else. Cutler's highlights were the bomb to Kircus, the int, TD to Devoe. Leinart they pretty much just showed one or 2 passes and then the little dump off right after he hurt his arm.

Salisbury was giving both guys praise and a lot to Cutler even during the int he said that it's pretty much nothing and he will get over it.

I would rather fly under the Radar of ESPN and other shows and have the darlings like New England and Pittsburgh, and T.O. and Cincy get all the press. Less pressure on the Broncs and maybe even puts a little chip on their shoulder.

hulamau, i think you are over reacting. This is Matt's 2nd game and first real chance to showcase his skills. THey showed both guys and had no problem with it. Kaylore, if you think Leinert is going to be a bust, IMO- u r wrong! Leinert has this thing down pretty quick and would have been a great pick in Tennessee as he would probably be battling for the start. These two QBs are going to be a great future class.

Cutler would get more press if he hired a professional hair stylist.

Since he is from Santa Claus, maybe he should start growing a Plummer and bleach it white. That would get good play on Sportscenter - it might even compete with Chad Johnson's gold fro.

Wait a minute, votes in on Cutler getting his front teeth gold-capped for extra press.

If Cutler wants to start getting front line pub, he needs to stop playing quality football and start dating some "hot little piece of ass" who has been in an internet porn. That will get people talking.

Who gives a damn about Paris Hilton, also that dirty skank has been banged by almost all of hollywood and any guy with money, so in all actuality Cutler has probably boned her, and then let Leinart have his sloppy seconds or in the case of Paris Hilton Sloppy thousands.

I heard Ron Mexico is stalking her.

Rocket Man's deep ball is Mr. Fabulous from the Blues Brothers. He tossed that ball in a perfect arc and caught Circus Kircus completely in stride. I'm sure Lelie put his kitten's mittens over his eyes. I hope he likes scatter arm Vick. Cutler is allready better than Vick.

Jays stats are phenomenal. He has 561 yards, 4 TD's and one bad pick. If you extropolate that to full games he would have 1200 yards, 9 TD's and 2 picks.

This is the right perspective, and anyone who lets themselves become upset about the news coverage of sports anymore is wasting emotions.

I was say this was slander to young Ms. Hilton, but you could convenience a jury otherwise in court of law.

So Pat,
What is your assesment of the two young QBs we watched last night.

Leinart can disguise it all he wants to, but he didn't suffer any "minor" injury last night.

Even if it is considered a minor seperation or sprain, that thing will have a bullseye whenever he is in there. Even non-throwing shoulder injuries can affect delivery and motion, and make him look out the back of his helmet alot.

I'm giddy as I have Warner on my Fantasy team.

Another visionary seer eh?

Lot of them coming out of the woodwork. I remember when Greise was the Next Montana too.

Me, I'll just wait for him to get on the field.

Honestly, Alec, I'm still on the Jake bandwagon. I'd just rather stay under the radar with Cutler, or whoever. Screw ESPN and what they say. Really, it's about performing, right?

Yeah, respect doesn't mean much from the media. The same people they kiss and praise are the same ones they kick to the curb. Some of the attention to Leinart is for the wrong reasons, not that anyone should care. In five years we'll see who's got substance versus style. :strong:
