No, but I hope he carries a phone just in case.

What has he done to warrant a spot?

He'll be playing soft toss with Jarious Jackson in the park.

After we picked Cutler I was 100% sure we would carry 3 QB's into the season. But, I'm admiting I was wrong and turning a full 180 degrees. Cutler has looked nothing short of outstanding all pre-season long. BVP, while I love his passion, is a long way off from Cutler. The only way BVP is on our team is if Plummer gets hurt and we decide to bring him back on the roster to back up Cutler.

(Personally, I don't think he's done enough to get picked up by any other team - so he'll be available).

I wish he would switch, his passion and size would be awesome in a role like FS or SS

No chance.

They're not gonna cut an O-lineman, D-lineman or receiver to keep a third QB. Especially not after what Cutler showed during the preseason.

To be honest, I'd rather save that spot for our glut of rb's at this point, but I wouldnt be opposed to giving him one last shot at the roster. Then again, if it comes down to our season being relied on our third string QB for more than a week.... we're doomed for the year anyway.

Word they can cut BVP and if either Plummer of Cutler gets hurt they know they can call him and Kanell in

I think that if the coaches expect that Cutler will be our starter next year, we'll have no choice but to keep BVP. I see BVP as a proverbial "canary in a cage...

They can get him back from the CFL next year if they need him.

He's not going to be the backup, and with our history of carrying only 2 QB's, I don't see how BVP makes it.

I would be interested to see what he could do as a safety with his athletic ability, but he seems locked onto playing the QB position. Too bad he's just not that good at it.

BVP needs to go, he isnt overly impressive. My guess is he will end up on the chiefs or Raiders.

Eh, we can always sign a veteran if Cutler is taking over and we're sending Jake on his way. Sure he won't understand the system, but at least he'll understand the forward pass, something BVP is clearly still struggling with.

no......... BVP = randell el

maybe if we needed another rb cause "tuck and run" is about all he's good for

This preseason, BVP looked like a man about to lose his job. I think it will happen, because I believe Shanahan wants to protect the depth at other positions.

Why waste a roster spot for him? I highly doubt any team will pick him up. He's had 2 1/2 years to prove something. Still hasn't. If the Broncos can go BVP as the only backup last season, they surely will go with only two this season.

Going without a #3 QB makes me nervous but I think they will do it again this year.

^^ This is why he makes the team... Shanahan will drop someone he knows will make the practice squad, keeping BVP from the clutches of division rivals. He knows the playbook so well, I can see one of these teams picking him up.

If he holds onto him for a few weeks then the interest will fade. He'll be cut later in the season.

No. They'll sign Parsons to the practice squad and move him to the active roster if Jake goes down. I'd rather use that free spot on one of these young talented guys that WILL be claimed off of waivers.

My thoughts exactly, as I'm sure I have repeatedly stated.

BVP always looks like he wants to run before anyone gets off the line.

Parsons is not eligible for the practice squad. He spent 4 years with the Cards.

I used to think so also Taco but Ive changed my thinking to if Cutler is #1 next year we trade Jake to the highest bidder and pick up a old vet to back up Jay.
