Hey all...
On Thursday, August 31st at 11:45pm, my wife and I are being admitted to the local hospital to begin the process of birth induction. WIth any luck, my son will be born on September 1st. Obviously, I"m not going to be around for the next couple of days (though I am bringing a wireless notebook, so who knows).
In any case, I'm not going to be around much, so if people have troubles, please contact Pezman or BlueFlame who will be happy to do any troubleshooting that you need.
If you're the praying type, please say one for my wife and my son. If you're not, I'd appreciate a positive thought sent in their direction.
This is exciting!

So my father in law calls me this morning... Apparently Jeff Foxworthy is having some baby contest...
http://www.cmt.com/interact/promotions/foxworthys_big_night_out/
If my son is born tonight at 8:30pm PT, then we can win $50,000 thanks to the contest he's running to promote his new show, which airs at 8:30 ET/PT. So that would be cool...
Even cooler, if we win the $50,000, YOU could win $1,000 along with us, due to their $1000 big baby bounty contest, where you send in an entry form identifying the correct baby.
I figure that if'n we're within ten minutes, it'll be worth a shot.

Eh, just look at it this way...you're trying to offset the costs of having him. I mean really, that's only a small percentage of the money you will invest. So, why not. OR, you could just say it's going towards his college fund! :~ohyah!:

Now they're really jerking us around... My wife's doctor is going off call and they want to re-schedule us for tomorrow night at midnight... But to appease us, they're going to have us in at 4pm today to take a stress test to see if the baby is under any distress. If he is, then they'll induce right away. Otherwise, it's more waiting.

The Mail Man of course... he's "delivered" three to my household! Of course the bastard won't even buy some diapers from time to time, or even mow the lawn. Sure doesn't have a problem drinking my last beer though. A-HOLE! ;D
TJ, our thoughts and prayers are with you three. Sorry to hear that things are going exactly as planned. Just take it in stride and try to absorb the good parts. I know I've told you this before, but in a few short hours you will truly understand the meaning of "Love at first sight". Having a child changes everything. Not just turning the quick trip to the grocery store into an hour adventure, but making things that used to bother you a lot, a lot more tolerable.
Before I had children I had a problem with authority. I'd tell a boss to go F-themselves in a heartbeat. My first child calmed that problem. Putting food on the table for me is one thing... putting food on the table for an entire family is completely different. Everything becomes easier to tolerate b/c of that family.
God Bless good buddy and don't forget to take that baby smell home early so the pups don't freak out.
