LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Southern California basketball player Brynn Cameron will miss the upcoming season because she is expecting a baby with Arizona Cardinals quarterback Matt Leinart, according to her father.
Cameron is due to deliver a boy in November, Stan Cameron told the Ventura County Star for Wednesday's editions.
Cameron, a 20-year-old junior guard, and Leinart dated while he attended USC. He graduated in December and was drafted by the Cardinals in April.
Asked Wednesday about Cameron, Leinart said, "I'm not going to comment."
In the past, he has declined comment on other personal information.
Cameron and Leinart reportedly broke up last year but still talk frequently, according to Stan Cameron, who spoke to the newspaper from out of state.
"Brynn does not want to get married," he said. "She wants to finish school and let Matt do his thing and then figure it out."
Cameron said his daughter, who graduated from Newbury Park High in Ventura County, doesn't want to comment until after the baby is born.
"It might not be the best timing in the world, but we are obviously very happy to have a new baby in the family," Stan Cameron said. "Brynn just found out about a month ago and told the team on Monday."
USC announced Tuesday that Cameron would sit out this season for undisclosed personal reasons.
She averaged 9.8 points as a freshman starter for USC but appeared in only 13 games last season after undergoing a second surgery on her hip.
"Once the baby is born, she wants to get back to playing basketball again and finish school," Stan Cameron said. "I know Brynn will make a great mom. Things will be fine. It will be fun."

Quote this man for some truth! I cannot possibly believe that ol Matt was doing the deed without his jimmyhat on; she must have poked a whole in that thing while he wasn't looking. Or what is more likely is that she told him she was on the pill and conveniently forgot to take it. Whatever the hell it is, that broad hit the jackpot! Giving up her "lucrative" career in the WNBA to take care of Leinart's baby full time for 18 years. What a woman. Golf clap.

Good luck Matt and Brynn. May you be blessed with the birth of a perfect child. God Bless.
Every mult-millionaire is obligated to have at least 3 bastard children by multiple hosts. Unfortunately for Matt, he doesn't have the loose chain of a 162 game schedule as in baseball or he would be there by now. Only 10 games on the road per season limits your opportunities to spread them out nationally. She's going to pop out a meal ticket to the tune of God knows what.
Thank you Denny Green, for saving us the grief of drafting this moron. I'm sure you will enjoy visiting with the proud grandfather in Mormonville. Hilarious! I'm sure he's strutting like a rooster in his tar and feathers. I could make some real funny jokes here but decorum prohibits saying them. They will remain hidden in what I even consider a sick sense of humor.
God, how much more can we thank our lucky stars we got a class act like the Rocket Man? I can't swear he won't knock up a girl, but he just seems to have "It" regarding his poise. Now we know why Matt held out so long. ROFL!

You are being sarcastic, I hope ....
Nope, he's not being sarcastic. Those are tricks that have been used on men. That's why it's smart for a man to handle his own condom. Never take a condom from a woman. That's a rule to live by.
Never believe a woman who says she's on the pill. Still use a condom, your own condom that is. Some women will act all shocked when they get pregnant, even though they damn well knew they stopped taking that pill so they could get knocked up. That happens more often than you would think.
A man should always discard the condom himself. Don't leave your boys lying around in some trash can so some woman can inpregnant herself (that is told to pro athletes at those rookie meetings that they have).
If a woman says she's allergic to certain type of condom, find a brand that she's not allergic too. If she says that she's allergic to all condoms, she's probably lying and she's trying to get pregnant. In that case, you don't want to sleep with her.
Funny but true story. A certain tactic has been used by men to tell if a woman is trying get herself pregnant. After sex, pour hot sauce in the condom and throw it away. If the woman is in the bathroom screaming in pain, you knew what she was trying to do. I've heard two cases of this happening. In one case the woman tried to sue the man for assualt. The judge threw out her case and awarded a judgement to the man for pain and suffering. That's a true story.
Like I said before, I'm not saying all women are like this. I'm not even saying most. But there's more than enough out there like that. So men have to be smarter. Less unwanted babies is better for our society...right?

There's actually a lot of Mormons in SoCal. Deuce Latui is a practicing Mormon. Black folks have a name for them (brace yourself, I'm going to use a bad word here), a keep-a-****a baby (the word got censored, it started with an "N") We say that everytime some guy's girl ends up pregnant. huh? If she found out a month ago, with a week grace, and waited a week before telling the team...that makes 6 weeks. So that means Lienart Jr was conceived around July 19th (mark that day on your calender...what were you doing the day Lienart JR was conceived it will be in the history books and your kids will ask about it). Pregnancy is 38 weeks to term. If she is due in November...(I chose november 30th) then you count back to July 20 (about a month ago). That's about 19 weeks. Thus leaving a little less than 19 weeks (I said 21 weeks...I was off by 2) when she found out. So, maybe she wasn't quite 5 months...but, darn close. Anyway...it her becoming prego mid March.

These kinds of posts remind me of my brother ... when I lived in West LA, form time to time I'd tell his wie, "oh, I saw so and so," or "so and so is a client now." My brother always said - 'I don't care one bit about celevrities or who you saw or know,' followed closely by, 'is he funny in person?', or 'is she pretty in person?' :~ohyah!:
Celebrity watching and interest is as natural as anything we do as humans ... and there's nothing MACHO about feigning disinterest.

Nothing like reading a great lecture from a brilliant mind. You should submit these life lessons to a publisher. I was under the impression that sexual activity with certain women should be avoided if you have to resort to forensics during the afterglow. And to think of the random hookups I avoided because I didn't bring a bottle of tobasco to the party.. I feel so deprived.
"If a woman says she's allergic to certain type of condom, find a brand that she's not allergic too. If she says that she's allergic to all condoms, she's probably lying and she's trying to get pregnant. In that case, you don't want to sleep with her."
Will you consider putting this algorithm on a pocket card for a quick reference?

I do agree that he should pay up. He should support this child.
But the issue is that he may be the only one supporting this child because of the screwed up laws. The laws are set up so the mother can sit back and do nothing and just collect checks every month. She doesn't have to financially support the child at all. That happens in many cases.
That doesn't mean that she won't financially support the child. Maybe she does go after the career of her choice. Maybe she does get a job. But maybe she just sits back, collects those checks, and buys a nice house and car on Matt's expence. That type of stuff happens a lot.

I had a chick that I was living with that insisted she was on the pill. It's been so long ago I don't remember anything but seeing red when she confessed she wanted to marry me by getting pregnant. I kicked her 95 pounds of dimwit so far she landed somewhere near North Platte Nebraska, bounced and wound up back in Iowa.
Don't ever buy the little girlie facade. Women are even more underhanded and conniving than men, and less obvious. They have a full bag of tricks to choose from too.
Here is a FACT. Women leave a marriage 60 to 40%. Fact: Women are also, despite popular belief, more likely to be unfaithfull in marriage. Fact: Your more likely to contract an STD from a woman than a woman from a man. Fact: Courts don't care if the woman is a tramp, you still have to pay for your child, rarely see him, even with joint custody. FACT: You have absolutely no control over money given in child support as a general rule. Can you imagine how many rocks have been bought with proceeds from child support as she throws the baby a bag of weiners to chew on? Do you realize how many mothers buy a new car with their child support money? There is basically zero interest from the courts, and she can basically put on a show even if you go into litigation.
These are all facts. Hammer away at me. I'm not saying these are the rule, I'm saying that they are quite common. T.O. looking at a 9500 dollars on the sidewalk, he might just walk past it.

What if Matt wants to keep the baby and raise the child himself? I don't think a teenage mother with no income or a college education is better fit to raise a child than a man who has a college degree, his own living quarters and the means to secure the best upbringing that a child could possibly have.
Give her weekend visitation rights.

It is an excellent idea. Eliminate the middle man (or woman in the case.) Just hire a nanny for 65,000 a year, give her and the baby the second floor of the mansion and save himself the drama and million dollar child support payments. This makes complete sense for a guy like Matt Leinart on many levels.

Since when was a 20 year old a teenage mother?
Anyway...I have no problem with that.
And, just an FYI...a teenager without a college education can raise a child just as effectively as someone with an education. Parenting is NOT about having a degree, but about being responsible and just being there for that child!

Nope. He should be expected to raise the child himself. There is also the good of the child to consider - it's not just about the sperm donor. If he can't be a parent, then he shouldn't be awarded the child, makes no sense at all. If he doesn't want to spend the money giving it to a parent who will raise the child, then he doesn't get to spend the money giving it to a surrogate.
Plenty of men do a very respectable job of raising their children. I think the world needs to know how capable they are in this regard. Sticking the kid upstairs with a nanny will just lend itself to fewer men gaining custody.

Leinert can afford thousands of dollars a month. He'll be spending that much on table dances and blow jobs if the early reports on this clown are even halfway accurate. As for supporting the child, if this woman never works a day in her life, she'll be the one rising 5 times a night to check and see if he's breathing, changing diapers, feeding him, holding him when he's sick. She'll be the one doing the heavy lifting of child rearing from infancy to adulthood. What wil Leinert be doing? Probably banging pole dancers and porn stars.
I will be shocked if this guy takes any interest in this kid. And if he does...given his current state of mind...would that even be appropriate? Leinert may ultimately grow up and turn out to be a good human being and even a good father.

If she can't be a parent, then she shouldn't be awarded the child, correct? Since Matt only works 5 to 6 months a year, you could reasonably assume that he would be more available to the child than a woman who attends school 9 months a year. Besides, he is stinking rich and she is not. He can afford better "day care" than she will be able to.

This is getting a little ridiculous...Most women have their child/children in daycare...(are you saying they are "bad" parents because of it? ) and more expensive is not necessarily better. Besides that...a lot of colleges have their own daycare facility on site...and she can visit in between classes...and being in college, you're not going to have the same schedule everyday of the week...or be in class from 8-5. As for matt only working 5-6 months a year...what a joke....Conditioning is all year around and from what we've heard of Matt he likes to play. This alone would probably cut down on his "availability"...I'm not saying that he would be a bad parent and I'm not saying she would...I'm saying we don't know all the facts as to who would be the better parent or what would be the best choice for the baby...luckily, it's not our decision.

She may need some help. That is a far cry from a $65,000 nanny and shuttling the kid to the second floor.
So are you saying all single working parents should have children removed from their homes? No different than going to school a few hours a day.
What about the 5 to 6 months a year when Matt does work? Apparently being totally unaccessable is okay, but going to school each day for a few hours is not?
It's all a moot point anyway. It was the girl's father who broke the story. It is obvious her parents are going to be there to help with the child. As a matter of fact, I've seen various films of Matt and his parents prior to the draft. I can't imagine they wouldn't be willing to help him in raising the child.
Unfortunately money is being made the issue. And that has the least to do with raising a terrific kid.

And where are you getting all this information from? Your imagination?
Matt Leinart seems about 200 times more responsible than your average 22 year old. How many 22 year olds would turn down millions of dollars to get their college degree and finish what they started at USC? How many 22 years have represented and brought prestige to their university like Matt Leinart? You must be speaking of his arrest record? Wait, he doesn't have one.
And what are these early reports and "current state of mind" of Leinart that you speak of? I have not heard one damning word about this guy. If you are speaking of his sexual exploits, I would presume that Matt Leinart boned about as many girls in college than say Jay Culter or Tom Brady. But since neither of those guys led their college teams to two consecutive national championships and didn't play in one of the largest media markets in the world, nobody gave a flying flip who they were ****ing.
What you are saying is that ALL ATHLETES are unfit to raise children because they will "getting lap dances and shoving 20's down stripper's thongs" because I am quite sure Matt Leinart is not the only athlete in the world keeping strip joints up. Dare I say it, but I believe there MIGHT BE some mothers straddling the poles in those establishments and a bunch of average joe fathers paying them to do it. Damn...where did I go wrong?? LOL
And, why shouldn't the child he fathered be able to live the life that the child would have lived had Matt actually married the woman who gave birth to his child??
Jason, I actually feel sorry for you. You'll never be able to understand the true meaning of love and trust.
Sorry STG, you dont reward a woman for getting knocked up by a guy that happens to be rich. She might need an extra room and let us say a nanny because she is going to continue going to school. Fine with that. First, they were not married and second a woman does not have to prove where the money is being spent. If he lives in a 3 million dollar house doesnt mean her and the kid should get the same house based on her getting knocked up. There is no legal relation here except between the kid and the parents. If he wants to spoil the kid with expensive toys, then that is Matt's doing. Woman should not get rewarded based on finding a gold mine. There is nothing wrong with the child getting an average style of living if that is what she is used to. We need to stop rewarding woman with cash on having kids out of wedlock. The child deserves care by both parents. It shouldnt be a reward system. The child should not get automatic private schooling. This is based on both parents voluntarily giving the "extras" to the child. She will have her special needs since she is still going to school. That is a given and probably better for both of the mother and child. STG, I know you are a single mom and worked your A$$ off to care for your child. I commend you for that but sooooo many dont (and others get the shaft by the loser father).

Matt's a moron. He's about to be taken to the cleaners on child support. Not surprisingly, she's going to have the baby instead of following her dreams. I bet she was jumping for joy when she found out the great news.

What stg posted isn't based on her opinion. It's how the judiciary system sees it. And they don't look at the woman landing in a gold mine. As a matter of fact, it doesn't have anything to do with the woman. They look at the CHILD's circumstances. And the courts have decided the child has the right to the same lifestyle he or she would have if living with both parents. Meaning this child is entitled to the same life which will be available to any other children which may come along some day. If other children are given the priviledge of private school, then this child should have it too. Conversely, this child should not be given privileges not extended to others. Unfortunately, the reality is you cannot rely on both parents voluntarily giving "extras" to the child. If that were the norm, the courts wouldn't have to be involved in the first place.
The percentage of children born out of wedlock to multi millionaires is realitively small.
It's too bad there isn't the passion involved around the millions of single parent families who receive no help from the other party. That is by far, the more common situation.

*shrugs* a sex baby. So what? Now he's got a yoke around his neck for future contracts and child support. The local radio said the girlfriend waited to mention the pregnancy (convenient). And the two had split according to reports. Nice, fractured non-family story.

Until the nanny files suit for sexual harassment. This is really just the start of Leinart's troubles until he learns to keep his gun in the holster.
Plus it might not be wise for Matt to be around the child while it is roughly the size of a football. Too much temptation....

I have quite a few Mormon friends (being that I am Mormon) and most of the women I've talked to are total fiends in bed and complain it's the men that have trouble keeping up. I guess just like everything else it depends on who you've got.
I do know one man who is a close friend of the family who divorced his first wife because she only believed in having sex to make babies. I don't know why so many people don't talk about that stuff before they tie the knot.

I think you can find the statistics in Orange Mane archives. Every time it happens it hits the news. Then we hear the same crap from everyone. Do you seriously think this is more common then single parents who raise the kids with little to no support from the other party?
I'd be willing to bet everyone in this forum knows someone (or many someone's) in that situation. Probably more than a few who were raised that way -by a single parent who received little to no support.
Yet, somehow we skip that because apparently we all have far more expertise in the evil plotting woman, fleeced millionaire situations....

The courts are wrong. The problem is that they dont look at hitting the gold mine. The child benefits with the mom who isnt married and has no legal connection to the father except of the child. The courts trust the mom to spend the child support as fit for the child but of course now the woman gets the luxury lifestyle also. It is amazing that it is almost solely based on what income bracket the father is in. Brynn's father was delighted to have another addition to his family. I wonder how he would feel if it was just another 21 year old college student struggling through school. Dad sees the future in tickets and a last name of Leinert for his grandson/daughter.

This is all fantasy now-a-days, at least in Colorado anyway. I was awarded full custody of my kids including her son from her first marriage. All assets were split down the middle from the date of marriage including real estate, annuities, pensions, etc...

Im thinking barn animal before male/female. It is Iowa you know. But he is correct on woman having their bag of tricks. One of them to block is flush the condoms down the toilet (hopefully it is at her house) or a suggestion on a popular radio show is put tobacco sauce in the condom before trashing it. You will know if she tried to insert said condom for pregnancy try. Can someone say, OUCH!

I don't think you have to wonder. These people are Mormons. Regardless of what your, or my opinion, might be of that religion I tend to lean towards this family being accepting of any child regardless of how it has come be.
Neither of us knows this family. I don't see any reason to presume the worst of them.
I find it interesting your arguments tend to go against the child and mother living a lifestyle the father is more than capable of providing. These people live in a different world than I do. I could care less about their money situations. They'll still have more than enough. Who knows? Maybe Matt dated her, they had a relationship and then when he's going to be a big deal he walks out. In other words, maybe he used her. Is that all right? Does that absolve him of any responsibility including financial?
All I'm saying is each relationship is different. None of us know anything about what occurred with these people. We tend to automatically think the worse. In reality this stuff happens every single day. And the only one who knows the motives involved are the people having the experience.

Can some people help me out? Being the father of a girl child, who will soon be an adolescent, and as she certainly appears to be of the straight orientation, she will in all likihood date. Reading the posts on this thread, it occurs to me that I need some kind of "test," to pre-screen jerk idiots girl-haters with whom she might unwittingly date, and God forbid become pregnant by. Not that I wouldn't welcome another family member - so long as it wasn't a jerk idiot girl-hater son-in-law - but it seems to me that such close contact with such a male would screw up my daughter's life.
Therefore, I'd welcome any suggestions for a 'jerk idiot girl-hater test."

Well, one of my next door neighbors raised two boys and one girl into adulthood, and the boys threw parties when mom and dad were away, and were rather 'scruffy looking,' though most of the high school boys look that way too. But I imagine they knew they'd break their lovely mother's heart if they acted like jerk idiot girl-haters.
The guy across the street's got a kid my daughter's age in the same school as her. I think the chances of my daughter going out with him are slim to none, but his father would break his legs if he was a jerk idiot girl-hater, and his ex-wife would hit him with a kitchen implement.
But then there's the three toe-d lawyer down the street. Lost two toes dove hunting when his shotgun discharged accidentally. His three boys sort of live up off by themselves in an addition he added-on on top of his garage. I think they view girls sort of like deer.

When you find this test...could you pass it along to me?? :)
Seriously, though...the only way to know is to really get to know the person. And unfortunately, the women haters club members usually don't present themselves until they are asked to actually be responsible.
In all seriousness....every person is different. There are a fair share of women out there that are gold diggers, I wouldn't deny that. And, there are a fair share of wonderful men out there that would do anything for their children, even though they are not "with" the child's mother. They are true fathers!
Unfortunately we live in a society where the bad seeds seem to cloud out the good ones. It's just a matter of getting out the weed wacker and sifting through the bad ones.

Weird to think of Little Girl Dog as Preteen Female Dog. We've all been screwing around on the internet far too long.....
Basically you are on the right track. Find any kid from a stable family environment and there is a good chance a normal and productive citizen will eventually emerge from the adolescent.
And seriously, you'll be able to tell. Just remember if one shows up you can't stand, never tell the daughter. It will be like issuing a challenge.
