Could this dude defend Brett Favre any more? The best was him blaming Driver for that INT when the pass was clearly both high and behind him.
I mean come on, I seriously think at halftime Theismann is going to log on to this website and start "The Brett Favre's Not To Blame Thread."
On a related note, when they were talking about bald athletes, Tony K makes the point that it doesn't count if you shave your head and choose to be bald. So what is the first question Theismann asks? "Does Tiger Woods shave his head?"
Moron.

Most guys shave their head becuase they are bald, but that's not what I want to talk about.
You are SOOOO right on about Theismann. For a "good" as Favre is and "bad" as Jake is, Fvre has more INTs/Attempts than Jake over their respective careers. And Favre played on decent to good teams most of his career.
Favre might be the most overrated athlete in history!

Tiger has a very short cut.
Tony's co-hort on PtI Wilborn has a shaved head. This is only an issue because Joe Heisman loves his doo. God he's a dumbass.
He's not a jerk as much as a complete moron.

I'm glad you're the SportsGuru and not the MathGuru.
Favre has attempted 7611 passes and been intercepted 255 times. That works out to one interception per 29.8 attempts.
Plummer has attempted 4033 passes and been intercepted 148 times. That works out to one interception per 27.3 attempts.
Elway attempted 7250 passes and he was intercepted 226 times. That works out to one interception per 32 attempts.
Favre has a better interception rate than Plummer. Elway has a better interception rate than Favre.
Its the TD per attempt rate where Favre really separates.

Theismann is a moron.
For some reason Favre was “elected” to the HoF in 1995, and since that everyone just waiting for him to retire, to make it official.
His last 5 years are very average, with a very rapid decline.
I truly believe he will stay till the Packers will force him to leave and will try to break Marino’s total yards record, Elway Wins Record, and to make sure Manning wont be able to catch his consecutive starts record.
Speaking of Manning. How can a QB be credited for a start when he plays one series, is beyond me. In the last 3 years P.M take 3-4 snaps in the last few games of the season just to keep “the streak” going. Discussing.

I noticed that he couldn't help bringing up the Redskins in a game they're not even involved in.
Theisman is a moron. I hate listening to that guy. At one point last night he said something like "Favre needs only a partially attached arm to complete that pass" something like that. WTF are you talking about Joe? I wish there was an ignore function on the TV for certain announcers. I don't know why they need 3 guys in the booth anyhow. 2 is plenty
Don't mind me, I'm in a pissy mood tonight :)

I don't think that they play him for 1 series for the sake of the streak, I just think they send him out there to keep him fresh, playing, etc and not just sit him for 3 weeks straight. I could be wrong though.

I have no doubt!
The game I remember the most (wonder why?) was week 17 at Denver:
J.Baker kicks 65 yards from DEN 30 to IND 5. D.Rhodes to IND 27 for 22 yards (L.Green).
1-10-IND27 (14:54) P.Manning pass incomplete to B.Hartsock (J.Lynch).
2-10-IND27 (14:48) E.James right tackle to IND 25 for -2 yards (A.Wilson, D.Williams).
3-12-IND25 (14:05) (Shotgun) P.Manning pass to M.Harrison pushed ob at IND 31 for 6 yards (C.Bailey).
4-6-IND31 (13:59) H.Smith punts 55 yards to DEN 14, Center-J.Snow. T.Luke to DEN 17 for 3 yards (G.Sapp).

Ha! Theismann. 98% mouth, 2% hair gel.
Even the Redskins faithful have a hard time listening to what he says half the time. Riggins too. The best part about Riggo though is that you have NO idea what he's going to say because HE has no idea what he's going to say, lol. It's like alcohol induced tourettes. At least Riggo has an excuse. He's mental. Theismann is just a narcissist. But he's our guy and he brought home a trophy, so we'll always forgive his crap as long as he doesn't go all Jimmy the Greek.
Kornheiser on the hand is starting to get on my nerves. I never thought I'd long for the days of Dennis Miller in the booth.
