Why didn't Denver make a run at this guy? He has been an animal in Philly so far in two games I watched. Had 2 sacks against squeelers today and one against mcnair last week I believe. I remember people screaming for him.

He never played for Cleveland, he doesn't meet the criteria.

Yeah, I was the loudest I think Screaming for him. Wanted him big time. Its funny that Reid will bring in two great DE's but balks at bringing in a Decent WR not named TO ??? Bastard!

"He's the full package who can play both the run and the pass very effectively," said head coach Andy Reid of Howard, who was designated with the Saints franchise tag during the previous two offseasons. "He's a proven double-digit sack guy. He can play both outside and inside in pass rush situations, which makes him very valuable. He's a good all around football player."

Gee, Denver does not have ANY need for that ;D Why the Hell did we keep Courtney Brown and Engleberger if this guy was available.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH H!!!!!!

He was a monster for Philly tonight. My buddy over there said he got $30 M, 6 years. $10.5 M bonus.

Roughly the same amount that Washington paid for Andre Carter.

We should have signed Kyle Vanden Bosch two years ago and this wouldn't be a problem :)

Probably because he hasn't stayed healthy over the last 3 years and had his sack total drop to 3.5 last season. I've liked the guy for years and wished the Redskins would go after him. There were trade rumors last year but they never meterialized. Plus, he cost the Iggles a pretty penny. Shanny is not one to overspend on a given position.

Every player on Saints Defense Line has bad rep. Wonder if it the players or the situation?

Yea, thats why they franchise tagged him two years in a row. A real cancer you know; couldn't wait to get rid of him. :oyvey:

That's why they didn't do it a 3rd season in a row. He quit caring once they started losing last season and the team was more than happy to get rid of him. Of course the Saints only tagged him the 2nd time to try to trade him since he did not want to be in New Orleans anymore.

If it was true or not I don't know. I don't know if the Bronco's had a chance because the Eagles scooped him up almost on the first day of Free Agency.
