Ok Radiers fans......since you are all getting so up about your PRESEASON...I REPEAT PRESEASON RECORD obviously that is indictive of what is to come right?? Because of so then Moss is going to be the next Scheffler. Not
Lets see you are getting happy about Moss...through 4 games your all pro is 5-132 for 2 tds, NOW our ROOKIE is 8/127 AND 1 TD....IN ONLY 2 GAMES.
So you can come to 2 conclusions and I'll let you pick whichever you like,
1)preseason shows what is going to happen in regular season in which a rookie scheffler will be just as good if not better than Moss
2)Preseason means nothing so STFU!!
You choose.

This is the first game Moss played more than a couple of snaps.
Usually the 2nd to last preseason game is the one that most resembles a regular season game.
The 3 things I take from it are:
1 Moss is going to get his even if he's blanketed by 2-3 defenders
2 Detroit is going to suck pole.
3 Oakland is going to be better, probably moreso as the season wears on due to so many rooks, 2nd and 3rd year players starting.

How can Art Shall lower himself to such depths when he was fired after a 9-7 season? I'm starting to think K.C. may well be a cellar dweller this year. I hate to say it, but Shell is just what these Pirates needed...a strong hand. They might actually get out of their grog stupor and manage to lift a sail and get somewhere, unfortunately.

IF and only IF the raiders can cut their penalites in half they'll be a handful .. until then its all potential.
However Shell is a lot better at disciplining the troops than the past few and some of their young ones are getting some experience, so I wouldnt be surprised to see they go 8 and 8 which is fine with me as long as we account for two of their loses.
They might even beat out KC and relegate the Chiefs to the AFC West celler dweller title this year.

He's been running by people all preseason. The ball actually got to him tonight.
I suspect he'll be fine with Brooks as he was the first month with Collins before the injury.
He'll have a 1300 yard & 13 TD season about at his career avearage.
Doesn't mean the Raiders will win more then 6 or 7 games.
It does mean he isn't going anywhere anytime soon. He just turned 29 years old.

Real preseason players of genuis...
Bud Lite salutes you, hero of the uncounted games.
Randy Moss, a man who disappeared in the regular season last year is racking up the yards in meaningless test games
(racking em up now)
Did Randy even get a sniff at the Pro Bowl last year? Nope
(not even a faint odor)
So, whats left to do? Make a significant contribution in a game that doesnt count.
(Randy, you know it doesnt count now)
Bud Lite salutes you, of stud of the scrubs. Afterall, if you cant make an impact in the regular season, go out and knock some rookie playing vanilla defense around.

This first 4 games he had 19 grabs for 466 yards & 3 TD's.
The yards led the AFC & his 24.5 yards a catch led the NFL.
Led the NFL with 3 grabs of 50 or more yards.
A 73 yard TD against the Pat's in Week One.
A 64 yard TD against the Chiefs in Week Two.
A 79 yard TD against the Cowboys in Week 4.
In Week 5 he severely bruised ribs & strained groin in the first quarter against the Chargers.
So my guess is he would have Sniffed the Pro Bowl had he not been injured.
He may rot in Oakland when it comes to winning but the young man is headed to Canton.

The comical thing was Randy in 2004 (http://platinummeeting.1.football.sportsline.com/players/player/gamelog/12576/2004), hobbling out on the field on a badly pulled hamstring in week six. Not to inspire his teammates to victory, but just to deliberately walk upfield a couple paces for one snap so his consecutive games played streak would stay alive. The very essence of Randy Moss as an athlete in a team sport.
Pathetically, the Raiders allowed him to do the same thing the following week. The Raiders finally found their balls and called bull**** on the whole fiasco and sat him down for the next three weeks.

Its taken the Raiders 3 years to win the amount of games we did last year alone. They brought in a subpar QB and the only coach who will put up with Al Davis. You'll be lucky to win 4 games this year, please lets see the trash talking after week 5-6 when we see Moss on the bench whining with another hammy injury and Brooks padding the league's CB's INT totals.

I traded Moss for Bush in my FF league and am still glad I did. Brooks threw those passes and I don't even think he will be the starter by mid-season. Wildly inconsistent at best. If you could only bring Madden back to coach for another season.

I love the way Oakland is looking good in the pre season. This will inflate the public's opinion of them at the sportsbook early in the year. That will present some opportunities before people realize its the same crappy team again and the Books adjust.
Remember Cappers, the Raiders are always overrated by the betting public and the Books like to squeeze an extra half point here or there to exploit their stupid fans.
Last year Oakland finished 4-12 on the field and 5-11 against the point spread.
Essentially, that means if you bet against Oakland every week - let's say, $110 to win $100 - you would have finished with a straight profit of $550 for the season.
Its a reliable trend. In 2004, Oakland went 5-11 on the field. Against the number they were 6-9-1. Assuming the same $110 wagers each week, you would have finished the year up $240.
I guess what I'm trying to say here is the Raiders suck and their fans are stupid.

The Raiders like the Vikings didn't sit him last year. For the next 4 or 5 games he played more 10 or 15 snaps basically as a decoy. Only to not get any better at all.
In 04' he actually refused to take an MRI with the Vikings for 2 weeks after slighty tearing the hamstring.
Told Mike Tice he doesn't like MRI machines & he knows his body. I can't make this stuff up.
The Vikings are my team & that was hilarious.

They asked him if he would come back to the Vikings if it was under his control after the preseason game 2 weeks ago in Minny.
He said "To hell with the Vikings organization" "I love the fans here who supported me through the ups & downs from day one"
"I have no ties to anybody in that building. Denny Green, Cris Carter, & everybody I had relationship with is gone now."
