OK
It preseason and everyone looks great. Every player is going to the HOF. But we all know that sometime during the season a player is going to make a mistake that going cost the team something, which player do the fans turn on first and loudest.

Seriously, do we really need a poll on this? As soon as plummer throws a pick, that's when the b1tching will begin.

Actually I think Watts is the most likely candidate. The word claw will appear in every thread.

As opposed to the Jake/Cutler debates in every thread?
Watts may be a goat (not greatest of all time) in one game, but Plummer will be scrutinized for every little thing.
Case in point:
Plummer this year completes a pass to Rod Smith. Someone bitches that Jevon Walker was wide open on the play.
WHO CARES! PASS COMPLETE!

Unlike some around here I believe Plummer will have better year then last year, and we won't even close to the Culter/Plummer issue.

Watts or Bell.

I think it's obviously Jake. He'll be under a microscope in 2007 for sure. I'm pretty confident he is going to have the best year of his career this year.

I think any one of the other three people could mess up before Jake throws an INT. Remember, he didn't throw that many last year...

I'm already on record that Watts sucks dog balls... because I'm the type that expects a "reciever" to "recieve"

I say Mike Bell if he fumbles the ball on a crucial play people are gonna say hes not worthy of the #1 spot.

Plummer will be blamed for the failings of everyone else on that list somehow. He's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.

Al Wilson fails to touch Marvin Harrison down, Plummer's fault.
Offensive line fails to offer even minimal protection, Plummer's fault.
Defense cant stop a 3rd conversion for almost an entire first half, Plummer's fault.
It is and always will be Plummer's fault when we lose and it will have nothing to do with him when we win. It was a team effor then.

Pick the most "conservative" choice... :~ohyah!:

It won't be Warren. He's my adopt-a-bronc. The fans will be cheering him all year.

Voting is meant to be private in america and you will be hard pressed to find many public polls I am involved in.
edit: Other than the rare poll I might make...;D

It will only matter if the pass is SHORT of first down (on third down), and Walker is deep enough. Of course then the next time Walker will drop one and everyone will complain about being robbed of Assly and a second by GB.. :curtsey:

Personally, I think Plummer will get more leeway during the season than people think. If people are bailing off his bandwagon, it's not going to be for an interception or two in the early going. It would have to be something pretty alarming.

Definitely Watts.

I think there are different categories.
The guy people would turn on the quickest would be Plummer. The guy people would make the most jokes about would be Watts. The guy who'd receive the most cynicism would be Warren. The guy who'd get the longest free pass would be Bell.

Its not even applicable in some cases. I don't expect Watts to ever become a player for us, so I can't jump off a bandwagon I never boarded.

I'm kind of the same way about Tatum Bell. It's not that I don't like him or that I think he's bum, I just don't think he fits here as anything more than a change of pace RB.
I'm not gonna complain about our draft this year because I think they did a fine job. But I was really hoping that they'd come out with DeAngelo Williams or LenDale White.

O4L is much like the Sam Kinison charactor in Dangerfield's Back to School.
Professor Terguson: You remember that thing we had about 30 years ago called the Korean conflict? And how we failed to achieve victory? How come we didn't cross the 38th parallel and push those rice-eaters back to the Great Wall of China?
Professor Terguson: [rips a desk apart] Then take the ****ing wall apart
[shouts]
Professor Terguson: brick by brick and nuke them back into the ****ing stone age forever? Tell me why! How come? Say it! Say it!
Thornton Melon: [incensed] All right. I'll say it. 'Cause Truman was too much of a *pussy wimp* to let MacArthur go in there
[shouts]
Thornton Melon: and blow out those Commie bastards!
Professor Terguson: Good answer. Good answer. I like the way you think. I'm gonna be watching you.
Thornton Melon: [to his classmates] Nice guy. Really seems to care. About what I have no idea.

I went with Watts mostly becaus I think his hold on the #3 spot is the most tenuous of the choices. Kircus and Marshall will be breathing down his neck, and he has the least amount of room for error.

If Cutler didnt look so damn good, no matter how good Jake plays. You know what they will say when he makes a mistake.

Last year was a great year for his stats!
It is all down hill from here on out! Jake is Jake, he is an invitation to disaster.
