You gotta watch NFL Network Total Access tonight ...
They put a camera into Billick's office while he cut guys - and they taped the Turk as he fetched the players to be cut. Pretty riveting.

Brian Billick has to be the biggest media whore in the NFL. The funny thing about it is that I have now seen him cut player in two other seasons (the year of the HBO special on Ravens training camp and a year or two ago on an NFL Network show), and I have read about it in Next Man Up (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0316009644/102-0368607-3488124?v=glance&n=283155), John Fenistein's book (I just finished it - a little disappointing, but still a worthwhile read). He uses the same speech every time. If I was getting cut, I think I would tell him to save it.
I'm not a big Billick fan, I guess.

Yeah ... you're prolly right.
But for me ... the most entertaining part was not Billick cutting them, it was the Turk saying, "hey, Reg ... I gotta take you up to coach's office. You got your playbook?" Cause THAT'S when their heart really breaks...

EXCEPT: When the guy came to Mike Bell and said, "Mike, c'mon - coiach wants to see you." In his case it was, "Mike, we're releasing our first depth chart, and I wanted you to know that you're our starting tailback." MAN - from Outhouse to Penthouse in 5 seconds, eh?
